I was hungry for scallops tonight. So, I went to the store and got some sea scallops that I wrapped in bacon, sprinkled with garlic pepper and broiled.  They were mighty tasty!

No, you put the CDs in your bag when you realize that you want to take them to work!!!  No waiting!

I've got a bag I take with me to work every day.  It has the book I'm reading (always a cookbook or something about food) and my coat inside, and my nametag pinned on the outside.

And there's still enough room inside for whatever I bring home for making dinner that night!

Walt, our pharmacist, has the same kind of bag, uses it every day.  But I think his wife does all the shopping.

I know...I know.  Next time, I'll remember. :)

While I was in the kitchen, getting the sauce to the burble stage, I had the TV tuned to the Food Network's "chefography" of Rachael Ray.  She has been elevated somewhat in my view, because her favorite pet has been a girl pit bull named Boo.  Anyone who realizes how sweet these dogs can be, given the chance, is given brownie points.

I just read HERE on Playbill.com that if you haven't gotten the currently-available "world premiere recording" of the off-Broadway production to Grey Gardens, GET IT NOW!!  When the "original Broadway cast recording" becomes available in an exclusive internet sale on the PS Classics website starting March 27 (otherwise available everywhere on April 15), the first recording "will be replaced by the Broadway album, which the authors see as their definitive version of their work, PS Classics co-founder Tommy Krasker told Playbill.com. The first disc will, like the Beales, gracefully go out of print."

Just had to share. :)

I have it and really do like it. I'm not sure if I want to get the new one or not.

I think my toga is white.

No, I think it must be one of the egg shell colored ones cause there are tons of white ones left in the toga room...actually it looks like the box of white has never been opened...still sealed with the plastic covering..

Cilla, is your answer "I don't know" definitive?  Or are you still checking?  Or should I rewrite what I've written?

Yes, Anthony has left New York, moved to California, stopping off in Oregon to pick up a very large, young dog and has moved in with Cason. Heather has left Cason and moved to New York and is now living in Chelsea. 2 switches out of 4.

And it's not even April Fools Day yet.

sounds like daytime TV.

CD - Home - nothing
Car - Glory and Praise Collection from Oregon Catholic Press - Disc 20
iPod - An Andrew Llloyd Webber playlist (who knew??)
DVD - workout demo video

"Extreme Body Make-Over" Day 5 - Personally, I am enjoying the plan so far.  DP, however is it.  Being the foodie he is, he can't eat the same thing more than once in a few days, so this is driving him nuts.  He's been on the EBMO (Extreme Body Make Over in internet lingo) forums, and has picked up some recipes for sauces and such.  Hopefully, that will help.  I'm just grateful he's been doing most of the prep.  It makes it easier.  I walked today, which was great, hills and all.  On this plan, I seem to have an abundance of energy, which is great.  Shirts are feeling looser across the chest, I'm happy - for now (and only for now!)

Love the Broadway Abridged site, DR SINGDAW...thanks for the link.

I hope everyone is having a great Friday evening.

I am enjoying my lovely new television set....exploring some new things it can do....and choosing a DVD to peruse.

DR MBARNUM....although it probably cannot be purchased  for 99 cents - I must say my introduction to BOLLYWOOD and still my favorite is:

PAKEEZAH!!

DR ELMORE - I think Unsung Broadway was one of the first BK-Produced CD's I bought without knowing anything about it....and "New Words" is a special song that has wonderful meaning....and a beautiful arrangement.

When the occasion calls for it, I always do that song in sign language, and it never fails to bring down the house!!!

The arrangement gives me lots of time for improvisation.  ;D

Re: Ugly Betty

SPOILERAGE!!!

While I appreciate the demands of plotting on a soap opera/telenovella like this, I am disappointed by the totally negative rejection by Mama Weiner of her son, Mark.  Yes, it happens, but not nearly as often as supposed.  It is the fear of the rejection that keeps so many men (and women) like Mark from being honest with their parents.  I would have preferred Mama Weiner saying something like "I don't know what to say," and then leaving, than her outright rejection of her own son.

MySisterTheBitch used this fear of rejection to drive a wedge between my father and myself for years.  When I finally got the nerve to talk honestly with him, he did not reject me, but accepted me for who I am.

And MySisterTheBitch is the family Democrat.  Go figure.

I have said a very heartfelt affirmation and prayer, for the highest and best outcome for dear puppy Sherlock!  I don't know what they may be, but I trust that the Universe knows what is best.

I have tried to understand and had to believe that about many things for the past 6 months.
