What are the differences between the Road Show engagement and the regular releases of In Old Chicago?

Crepes-how could I forget my cheese blintzes!  The recipe is my mother in-laws.  Until I had her blintzes I never cared for them.

I forgot because I never found the cheese to make them anywhere in Ashland.

And more great pics from DRJOSE!

Unfortunately, I know now that I am older than both DRJED's mother AND the Clark Museum!

I blame my being older than God totally on DRJose!

And here is the DVD cover for Darling Lili. I am not crazy about it, but the other original art work from the films release was nothing to write home about either. Interesting that they are giving Jeremy Kemp such prominence (sp) on the cover. In fact his image is bigger than Julie Andrews'!

I just spoke to my Father, and it looks like a trip to Ohio somewhere between Sept 20-28 is in the works.  I'd go earlier but he's in San Diego from Sept 1-15 or so.  Look out, DRGinny, I'm on my way!

Interesting that the re-release of The Wizard of Oz is going to have two different covers

The 3dvd release will have this

and the 2dvd release will have this

I think the 3dvd collection art work is far more interesting.

I don't know yet; it all depends on family madness, but thanks for the invite!

Good Evening!

Good run-thru this morning!  We did have some members of the acting company who were caught a bit off guard by the change in schedule - they had not re-checked their e-mails since getting the first schedule.  But, we all survived, and the run went very well.  We got through the show in one hour and 28 minutes.  The last time we ran the show it ran one hour and 31 minutes - and that was without the new song/scene!  Go actors!

After the run-thru, we had about another hour of rehearsal just to run some fixes.  Then we spent a good chunk of time in meetings discussing the good, the bad and the problematic, and also coming up with our game plan for our one and only tech day tomorrow - Noon to 3:00am.

However, since rehearsal doesn't start until Noon, at least we can all sleep in a bit tomorrow.

DR Jason - I finally listened to the mp3s last night that you sent me earlier in the week.  Bravo!  -Truly, I mean that.  I was quite impressed.  -And I think you know by now that it takes quite a bit to impress me.  :)

-And I hope you don't mind me passing those on to DR elmore.  I just had to share them.

Ohhh... DR DerBrucer reminded me about scrapple again!  I love me some good, crispy scrapple - with scrambled eggs and biscuits.

And I had some of the best Fried Corn Meal Mush in Nappannee, IN - in Amish country.   Soooooo good.

DR Jose: Thank you. It means a lot coming from you. :) I hope you don't think I sent those to you as a way of fishing for compliments, though...I get majorly turned off when people do that. I just wanted to share. And no, I don't mind that you forwarded them to DR Elmore. I'm flattered.

I am surprised, though, by how many people have said that my singing voice sounds different than what they expected. I wonder what they expected!?!

With all this talk of breakfast foods, I simply had to have breakfast for dinner. I scrambled some eggs, popped a couple of Pillsbury Grands in the oven and made my first stab at homemade sausage gravy. I have to admit...it was pretty damned good! I have enough to last me through tomorrow (at least), so I'm happy. Since then I've finished off the Karamel Sutra that I got a few days ago (which was quite yummy) and started on the Vanilla Heath Bar Crunch.

Did I mention the ridiculous thunderstorms we've had here tonight? I honestly can't remember this much rain in such a short period of time since I moved here. Well, maybe during a Nor'easter, but...WOW! Quite a bit of rainfall, lots of lightning...we never get lightning...and even a hint of green in the skies, which always meant tornado weather in Oklahoma. But the temperature dropped about 20 degrees and we needed the rain, so YIPPEE!!

DR Jason - No thoughts of fishing at all.  And I meant to e-mail you privately, but since I was running short on time this morning... and since DR elmore had already posted his thoughts...

Again... :)

DRMATTH you might be thinking of THE CROWDED SKY, and THE HIGH AND THE MIGHTY ripoff that was jam-packed and jelly-filled with flashbacks.  It featured Efrem Zimbalist Jr, Rhonda Fleming, Keenan Wynn, Patsy Kelly, John Kerr, Anne Francis, and Troy Donahue.

I don't think so. I've never seen that movie. I think I might have been thinking of PHONE CALL FROM A STRANGER which is strange itself because it doesn't take place on an airplane, and is in black and white, made at Fox.

Does anyone know if the pair of Sherman Brothers movie musicals of Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn were actually released this week?

I believe they were, and these Panavision movies were released in full frame editions. Most everyone I know is not buying them.

I'm listening to Jimmy Webb's "Ten Easy Pieces".
He is touring OZ but it looks as likely that his Melbourne Concert will be cancelled due to lack of interest! Someone left his cake out in the rain and it's just not attractive any more it seems.

Julie looks beautiful in that head shot. I am looking forward to having this on something other than a videotape recorded from AMC.
