The list version:
-Train was scheduled to leave at 10:50am.
-When I left my parents' house, it was running one minute late according to the website.
-When I got to the train station, train 194 was now running 10 minutes later... Then 15 minutes late.
-By the time we got to Washington, DC, Union Station, the conductor thought we would be able to make up some time by cutting short the layover. However, since it was a sold out train, it took a bit longer to get everyone on board.
-Then the air conditioning in my car started not working so well. It wasn't "warm", but you could feel the humidity in the air.
-By the time we pulled into Philly, it was determined that the engine was having some trouble, so we stopped for a couple of minutes there while maintenance checked things out - including the air conditioning.
-About five minutes outside of Philly, we stopped again due to the suspected engine trouble.
-When we pulled into Newark - which is just one(!) stop away from New York Penn Station - we stopped again for another maintenance check, as well as a crew change.
-Eventually, we arrived at Penn Station at 6:30pm... Instead of the scheduled 4:47pm... And since I was supposed to see a friend's show at 8:00... Run, Jojo, Run!
