I did not win the lotto.

I did listen to House of Flowers and Two for the See Saw.

Greetings, all.

We are back from Highland (it's a small town in Ulster County in upstate New York about an hour 20 from Manhattan). We had a very nice time. It was simple and relaxing and we had a very happy time. We took the train from Grand Central and arrived at Poughkeepsie around 12:30. We went with our (Anthony's) cousin to the house. It's a very nice place with three bedrooms and a new kitchen and lots and lots of open space. The property is very rocky (Michael is doing some landscaping to even out the area) but beautiful. After lunch some of us went on a hike. There are a few pictures but I don't have them. If/when I get them I will post one or two. It was a two and a half mile walk through wooded area ending up at the Hudson River. We sat at the river and talked and looked at the sailboats and relaxed. Then we walked back to the car and drove home. Anthony had just woken up from his 2 hour nap as we arrived back at the house. I guess he needed the sleep after the long week on Long Island.

We had a marvelous dinner of steak, burgers, potato salad and a wonderful cucumber salad. We ended the meal with a Snickers Cheese Cake and fresh fruit to make it seem less decadent. We then played games while the three younger ones (one is 10, another is 15 and another is 17) went downstairs to watch Spy Kids 2.

I was worn out by 10:30. Walking that way is completely different from walking in New York City on level ground and going up and down stairs. I fell into bed and slept through until 8am! I'm usually up by 6:15 but it felt great to sleep in.

We had planned on going to the Ulster County Fair today but it rained all day (of course when we got in the car to return to the city it stopped raining) so we just had breakfast and lunch and continued our relaxing day talking and laughing and having a great time.

One set of guests left around 1:30 and we left around 2:30. Traffic was heavy but not terrible and we were home by 5pm.

I have to go to work tomorrow but I have had a wonderful day and a half weekend so I'm ready for the next five days.

Ben, how is Ant doing?

TCB, thanks for asking. He's doing OK. It was good for both of us to get away. Although George's death was expected it was still hard. He's watching a DVD right now. He's keeping in touch with Elinor and will go out to Long Island as needed to help her out. He's planning on getting back into his schedule this week, going back to Dance Class and continuing work on his newest project, a Toy Theatre from Pollock's Toy Shop in London. A friend of our bought him one on his last trip to London and he's very excited about building it and putting together sets.

Here is a look at the newest piece.

Finally getting a chance to catch up on paperwork for myself (I'm behind by more than a month).  Almost done going through all the stuff I moved over from my dad's place.  Sad to say that he kept absolutely zero , absolutely zero, from all the location work he was on.  Nada thing.   Other things were sad to, but that's stuff for the shrinks couch.

Surprisingly this is the first time i've been online today. And i don't think i was on since yesterday morning.

I just watched Big Brother. And before that the dvd He's Just Not That Into you, which i liked a lot more than i thought i would.

I think i am feeling better. Although yesterday i did a lot of stuff and did not tire out until night time when i felt like i'd been drugged. It wasn't a normal tired feeling but rather the extreme fatigue i often get when i take medicine (although i hadn't taken anything).

I felt the same thing this afternoon. And took a nap. When my niece woke up i didn't even know where i was. I was in such a deep sleep (which never happens with me!).

BK, I still watch HEROES as does DR MattH and a few other DRs.

Will you like it? That's hard to say. Is it as good as LOST? IMO, no.

But they are different.

I believe we just finished season 3. I did love it in the beginning. So i'd say watch season 1. If it's not for you you'll know. But i remember season 1 being amazing.

I didn't like the show as much this past season. But maybe that was just me.
But season 1 was very good. So since you already have the dvds watch them.

Light cues programmed.  Board meeting over.  I watched the film version of MAN OF LA MANCHA, which I don't hate anymore....but I still don't like it too much.

This is the first time I had a chance to post today.

I feel better but not 100%. I will see the doctor tomorrow afternoon and go to work but take it easy to strain anything.

I have never seen the series Heroes. From what I heard about it goes up and down in quality of the stories.

I do not watch LOST when it airs. I have been very careful not to read anything about this past season as I don't want it to be spoiled for.

Well I had one situation spoiled. I was reading an article about Dominic Monahan who played Charlie and the article mention another character and his/hers fate. I was really pissed that I read it, but I think it was sort of known that that would be their fate from how the stories were told on the previous season. But still I rather I didn't know
