I watched the men's program, too.
Astounding that the evening ended in a tie between Evan Lysechek and Johnny Weir, but because Evan won the long program, he was declared the winner. I think Johnny got robbed frankly. His skate was much more graceful with perfect jumps and an ease and security to the landings than Evan didn't have. His program was powered through but very ragged.
Anyway, if they can continue to skate at this level, they should do fine at the World's this year. Sadly, because two of the top three ladies medalists are 14 and 15, they're not old enough to compete at the Senior World Championships and will represent the US once again at the Junior Worlds. The three ladies elected to be sent to the Senior Worlds finihsed 3rd, 5th, and 7th at our nationals. Not a hopeful sign.
