Jane, please accept my heartfelt condolences on the loss of your friend
I am sorry you'll not see Madagascar....did you say "plague"?
:o
She was walking with her head down so she could admire her beautiful shoes, occasionally stopping to hold a foot up to see it all the better

LOL!
As I caught up to them I said to her, what beautiful shoes...are you going to visit someone special?
I have a lot to accomplish today, after I wrestle two kitties and force them to take their meds.

To all my Jewish friends on HHW, my wishes for a wonderful holiday! I wrote this arrangement for a Milken Archive recording of Hanukka music:

Well, I guess I need to get a start on my day.
I have to "edit" (don't ask) this bass book for two (2) players who are subbing this Friday and Sunday. And pick up the prescription food for one of the kitties. And return a traditional holiday phone call to a former workmate in Dallas. And so much more...
As I caught up to them I said to her, what beautiful shoes...are you going to visit someone special?
She nodded her hard so hard I thought it would fall off and the told me "SANTA!"
I looked amazed and asked you mean Santa is here?
Yep and I (really huge emphasis on I) am going to see him!! She was very proud
Today we were supposed to have stopped in Madagascar, the reason we booked this cruise. Instead we are cruising even thogh the plague has beenen contained. Our disappointed is nothing compared to the news our dear friend has passed away :(
Welcome ne DR (dear reader) Jan.

Yes, pneumonic plague vs the usual bubonic plague. The pneumonic is more serious than the bubonic. Currently it is under control.

Here is a translation of the text, since the number is recorded in Yiddish:
Oh, you little candles
You tell stories
Tales on end;
You tell of struggle,
Valor and courage, of
A wondrous past.
When I see you flickering,
A sparkling reverie arises.
An old dream speaks:
“Jew, you warred once;
Jew, you were once victorious.”
God! It seems unbelievable now!...
God! I can hardly believe it!...
“You had a state,
To me you were a nation,
Once you governed:
Once you had a country,
Once you had power!”
Oh, how deep the ache now!
Oh, you little lights!
Your stories
Awaken my pain;
It stirs something deep within my heart,
And with tears it asks:
“What will be now?...
Old people problems:
There is a new Executive Director/Head Writer on my daily story, and he is ruining the show..... UGH.....
Do the people at castrecl now about Levi?

That's a very good reason not to stop at Madagascar.

Why hold back? It's a cause for celebration.
