Is it a clerical error concerning a copyright renewal that allows a BIG 1954 MGM film like THE LAST TIME I SAW PARIS to fall into public domain?

I took a belly dance class once.  It was fun but I decided to drop it when I became pregnant with Bryan.

Are those two events connected?

Wasn't David Bacon the actor that was suppossedly killed by Howard Hughes?

That's the theory that rarely sees print.   8)

I heard from Steve Suskin:  an error in the book cover has delayed it.  I, too, cannot wait to read it, DR JRand 55.  I also ordered Anthony Rapp's new book on RENT and Jonathan Larson.

Good Evening!

Good flight back from SFO, LAX, etc.

Linens washed and changed.  Bathroom cleaned.  Floors vacuumed.  Etc., etc., etc.  All for DR Jason!  :P

As for myself, I'm all showered and refreshed, and now I must head in for tonight's show...

Oh..

What day is it?

;D

Back from a long day (so far), about which more in a bit.  I have to do a quick rewrite of the two spots - the execs notes were clear and pretty simple to fix, although I may have to go searching for a couple of sound bites.  Nothing major, though - just a couple of voice over changes (more kid-friendly in their wording), and a couple of deletions (I thought they wanted to reference some of the running gags in the show, but they don't - just want to concentrate on the music - so that's relatively easy to fix).  Anyway, to work.

Oh, and Suskin e-mailed me earlier this week - there were actually two cover problems - in fixing the first, they screwed up something on the second.  He's thinking early Feb now.

I am a bit less excited about the release of the Superman Series seasons that follow....and after studying a bit on the net, it seems that season 3, 4, 5, 6, each had 13 episodes.  So I would guess (no official word yet) - they will be released 2 seasons at a time....

But please....Professor Pepperwinkle was an annoying twit as is Sterling Holloway who also appears in Season 3, I think.  Ugh.  But hopefully the color will be fine and dandy!

I know a few belly dancers, and they are all great people.  I have seen them perform now and then, and it is a remarkable achievement.

Some of them dance with swords!
This gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "cutting in."

I'm now off to usher for "Night of Improv" here in Olympia.  It's the "Whose Line Is It Anyway" guys and it should be hilarious, as always!  I can't imagine that it'll go much more than an hour and a half, so we should be out of their fairly early.  Later!

Most excellent vibes and xylophones to dear reader Ann.  This too shall pass.

Rewrite done - hope it did what my exec wanted it to do - there's one voice over I had to redo, and while it's okay, I think I'll ultimately come up with something snazzier.

I must now cook der Brucer's dinner.  Venison steak, baked potato (with the works), roasted beets, and mushrooms with cheese.

And the same for myself, of course.

I only spent 6 hours today trying to print the newsletter. Add that to the 13 hours yesterday. All to get 200 newsletters.  I gave up and ran most of the black and white copies on the 8-year-old copy machine, which never gives me any problems.  The longer the Ricoh printed, the worse the quality became. I shall be sending a copy to Ricoh.

Just put on Daddy Long Legs and already I'm as captivated as I was back in 1955 when I first saw it at the Stadium Theater.  Great 4.0 stereo sound, and one of the sharpest transfers I've ever seen of an older film - I mean achingly sharp.  More when I've finished it tomorrow.

Jose, glad you made it home safely.

Jason how was your bus trip and did it take four hours?  The train takes just under 3 ˝ hours and cost a whole lot more.

Interesting results show for DANCING WITH THE STARS.....and a nice episode of TRADING SPOUSES...

I like TRADING SPOUSE because you get to see the diversity of families here in the USA and see people's lives that you would normally NEVER get to observe.

And as usual....as in human....we are completely oblivious to our own faults and foibles.
