I had forgotten about THE PERILS OF PAULINE.  That was a delightful movie.  With Dobie Gillis' father in it.

I didn't even know there was a series!!!

Too many Betty Hutton/Allison Hayes/and Frances Farmer movies, I guess.

Starring Michael T. Weiss from JEFFREY.

TOD -

The first time der Brucer and I went to see Into the Woods, I was humming the melody to "Agony" all the way from the theater to the car.

It would be quite a while before I'd get the OCR, however, because what der B and I had seen was the pre-Broadway run at the Old Globe in San Diego!

It was also one of the few times I've ever seen a show cold.  Other than that, I've usually heard the music long before seeing the show.

Dinner is going to be a little late tonight.  I'm simmering a corned beef brisket, and, well, that takes a while to cook.

Tomorrow, we're having roast turkey breast.

It's so neat, knowing what the great sales are at work!

I'm still a little overtired.  I'll eat a sandwich, watch a little something, then take a shower and then try to bang out one more page.

I think I did enjoy my day. I'm just tired. Brody takes a lot of energy.

Thanks for the book info, MR BK.  I am intrigued!

Me either, DR JANE.

My guess, since it is on the TCM - as DR FJL linked - that Robert Osborne as a friend of Betty's was told about it, and he gave us the news.

No, I had an aide. She was my brother's preschool teacher back in the day.

I think Betty Hutton was fantastic in HERE COME THE WAVES.  That and MORGAN’S CREEK are my two favorite B. H. movies.  ANNIE GET YOUR GUN wasn’t bad either. :)

I just noticed that I am wearing one of my ANNE FRANK wife-beater shirts under the sweater that I wore to work today.  Somehow, it doesn't look the same on me, as it does on Cason!

Sandra-LOL, was that strange?

A little bit. She remembers me from when I was a sprig of a twig of a tad of a lass. She was confused when the kids called me Cassandra. She said, "Isn't your name Sandra?"
I said yes.
She said, " 'Cause I think it used to be."

And when/where have you seen Cason wearing YOUR wife-beater shirt??  Inquiring minds want to know...and see pictures!!

So about an hour ago, I heard the door open, feet pounding, and two little girls burst into my bedroom. Amazing how they got by DS like that so fast.

After they chased Joshie under the couch and pounded on the piano a while, I got them into the wagon for a walk.

Pearls of wisdom from the very young:

Mae-Ling: Daddies go into the alley to take out the garbage. Girls don't go in the alley. That's because boys are dirty and girls are clean.

Proboscis is a word that EVERYONE should know.

It is not used enough.  I say that proboscis should enter the lexicon and be used in place of any other noun.

For example:

A Proboscis Named Desire

Annie Get Your Proboscis

The Proboscis of the Opera

And of course the lyrics of "Let's Call the Whole Thing Off:"

You say proboscis and I say proboskus.....
