I don't think a Scrooge using a cane would be that off character, but how are you feeling, TCB?

Old, quite old.  I could barely get out of bed today.  The performance last night just about wiped me out.  But, there are only three performances left, so I think I can make it.

Thanks for asking, Danise.

The figures I've been giving for amazon have all been for the softcover, which is to be expected.  The hardcover was sitting at its usual number, around 774,000 (not horrid considering amazon lists over 2,000,000 hardcovers).  However, they just updated the sales rank figure for the hardcover - if we thought the softcover leap was amazing, how about this:

Amazon.com Sales Rank in Books: #88,535

I'll tell you what they were after, Ann. Underpants!

But look at the bright side. Now you get to go shopping.

Darn right! And don't worry, Ann! Get all you can; it's all on Sandra!

I hope the bastard(s) (S'cuse my French!) will pay for the crime!

If the underpants are dancing, does that mean ants are in them?  (Page Four Dance!)

No! That means that they're happy dancing underpants :)

Cotton underpants - Benjamin Kritzer is happy!

As if going from over 500,000 to 133,000 in the amazon sales rank wasn't good enough, we've now, in just three hours done this:

Amazon.com Sales Rank in Books: #62,362

Thank you, Peter Filichia!  And Jennifer posted on All That Chat and within a half-hour seven people bought from the Writer's Block website.

Great!

Writer's Block is definitely not a...buyer's block! ;)

It just amazes me how cruel and heartless people in this world can be...

Yes, Ann, that's (also) the world we live in!
Plain disgusting!

But then there are also wonderful humane people we hardly hear about, if ever. They do exist and I do believe they sometimes post here at HHW!
Oh yes! ;)

You mean Claude Chabrol's La Cérémonie with Isabelle Huppert? (.... and Jacqueline Bisset!)

Great movie, imho!

Well, there is the soundtrack to BEYOND THE SEA, which features a song title which is the same as your question. . .

Christmas season is the only time that I use the 101 disc feature on my carousel cd player. . .

I see that Brent Barrett is going back to Chicago in January. What happened to the play that he was touring in where he was in drag?

DVDs:  Thankfully, the WGA seems to be on the for "award consideration" DVD list for some things this year.  In the last three days, I've gotten 3 DVDs of current releases...Before Sunset, In Good Company, and We Don't Live Here Anymore...all independent releases.  We watch In Good Company last night starring Dennis Quaid, Topher Grace, and Scarlett Johanson and it was delightful.  Hopefully, we get a batch more of these before award season is over...Of course, they all come with ownership warnings and claims of being watermarked and traceable to avoid pirated.  I don't care.  I ain't planning on loaning them out.  I just like my perks.  I doubt we'll be getting any big studio releases, but I like to get the smaller films anyway.

Re: That's All!

Is it the standard that Mel Tormé also sang and that's now beautifully reprised by Michael Bublé? So many "é", hey?

I guess that carousel is used for Dalmatians the rest of the year! ;)

 That's All

I can only give you love that lasts forever,
And a promise to be near each time you call.
And the only heart I own
For you and you alone
That's all,
That's all...

I can only give you country walks in springtime
And a hand to hold when leaves begin to fall;
And a love whose burning light
Will warm the winter's night
That's all,
That's all.

There are those I am sure who have told you,
They would give you the world for a toy.
All I have are these arms to enfold you,
And a love even time can't destroy.

If you're wondering what I'm asking in return, dear,
You'll be glad to know that my demands are small.
Say it's me that you'll adore,
For now and evermore
That's all,
That's all.

Is that all there is?  Is that all there is?  If that's all there is, my friend, then let's keep dancing.  Let's break out the booze, and have a ball.  If that's all there is.  What am I, Peggy Lee all of a sudden?

My dad and brother are watching a Bill Cosby DVD and making a lot of noise laughing at it. Bill Cosby is talking about dentists.

I'M FREEEEEEEEEEE!!! FREEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Well... until after New Year's Day that is :)

Thanks all for the vibes.  I managed to fill up four exam booklets (a personal record) yet somehow failed to mention underpants.  Alas.  I'll try again in the sping exams.

Good job BK on the amazon sales bonanza.  Behold the power of publicity!!! :)
