If the underpants are dancing, does that mean ants are in them?  (Page Four Dance!)

My brother's car got broken into a while back. The only thing that was stolen was the air freshener he had hanging from the mirror. But the thief left him a T-shirt in exchange. My brother says he came out better in that deal.

Good Afternoon!

Almost time for me to get ready to head in for the show...

-I just heard some clips on the radio from the new Three Dog Night "Symphonic" album - with the London Symphony Orchestra.  Sounds pretty good.  Hmmm...

-I ended up staying in this afternoon.  Just very drained and tired, and my sinuses have been constantly running all afternoon. Ugh!  The nap I took did help, but...

-I have yet to hear back from my Mom - I'll call over in a bit, and/or try to stop in on the way to the theatre.

Well, that's it for now... Back after the show.

Laters...

DR Ann, that is crazy.  But at least they didn't take your car.  Thank goodness for that.

Re: why anyone would take dirty laundry?  They probably just grabbed it quickly.  Crazy.

I just can't abide a thief. I think it's lower than low to willingly and knowingly take something that you know doesn't belong to you.

Cotton underpants - Benjamin Kritzer is happy!

As if going from over 500,000 to 133,000 in the amazon sales rank wasn't good enough, we've now, in just three hours done this:

Amazon.com Sales Rank in Books: #62,362

Thank you, Peter Filichia!  And Jennifer posted on All That Chat and within a half-hour seven people bought from the Writer's Block website.

OMG - lady in a wheelchair doing her Christmas shopping at the Tipton, Indiana, Wal-Mart last night.  She was pushing a cart in front of her.  Three young people, grabbed her purse from her cart and ran out of the store.

Money, keys, credit cards.....all gone!  Police looking for the teens - survelliance video just played on the evening news.

Jrand, can you please go back into the b'wayworld thread and post Filichia's review - that was the whole point.  And point out to that fellow, that if he gets it from the site, it usually gets there in two or three days.

Our Private World: Sally Mayes sings Comden and Green, which BK produced (of course)

The orchestrations were much better than Miss Mayes' behavior deserved.

I am very excited about the Bells are Ringing DVD.  I'm sure it will look terrif and sound terrif, but it's the extras - a featurette on the making of the film, and two cut songs - Is it a Crime? and something called My Guiding Light, which I've never even heard of.  Also alternate takes of The Midas Touch.

Just a quick note of thanks from my family for the good vibes concerning my father's health.
We got the results of the bone marrow test today, and he REMAINS 100% CANCER-FREE (this is now nigh onto nine months); but what he has is iron in his blood that is not working properly, but there are treatments for that.
THANK YOU ALL, DEAR READERS ONE AND ALL!   ;D

Have not been around a computer for quite a while. This is my first post in a few days so I apologize for the errantness but it will continue apace. I seem to be busier now that I'm off work than when I'm at work. Ah, well. I need to catch up and will do that later but wanted to say hi. I read the Notes but not the postings so I don't know what's going on.

It seems the bulk of today's sales happened on amazon.  Sales at the WB website numbered ten, which is great, and which all come from All That Chat.  We have gotten 0 orders from broadwayworld.com.  Draw your own conclusions.

Evening all.

DR Ann, I hope you felt my vibes today.  You crossed my mind more than once and I was hoping everything was going well for you.

I’m sorry you had your car broken into.  Look at this way.  You must have fantastic fashion sense.  Someone wanted your clothes, dirty or not!

I know I’m to late to say anything to DR Jane but I also hope you have a smooth trip and will be back home safe and sound soon.

Good heath vibes to both the patience and the care givers (Jose’s dad and Mom).  People don’t realize that sometimes when someone gets sick/hurt, it can be just as wearing (sometimes more) to those who are taking care of them or even just worried about them.

I’m sorry, BK, I would post on the other board as well but when I do, I get jumped on.  I don’t want to fight anymore.   HHW has spoiled me.

Panni, I had almost the same thing happen to me the same day I saw the accident.  I was moving very slow through a parking lot and an old guy hollered at me that there were people trying to walk to into the store.

I had him spotted and had not planned on hitting him.  At least not until he said that.  Oh my, I’m being a humbug.

TD, I’m so happy for your Dad as well.    :D  Isn't the Holiday Season magic?

DRElmore, I just received a $25.00 gift certificate from a friend for B&N.  I only wish I could spend it in your store.

Danise, don't post on the other board - there is clearly no need.  I saw the one response when you posted in the NY signing thread.  That is what they are over there - I'm sure there are some swell folks, but there are also some truly nasty people there and who needs that.  As I said, not one order emanated from there and I don't expect there will be any (unless they get it through amazon).

So how set is everyone with the Christmas gifts?  I have one on lay-a-way for my Mom but other then that, I'm done.   :)  It's one of those walkers that has a seat with a back to it.

Since she can only walk so far before she needs to sit down, I thought she might like to have a seat when ever or where ever she needs it.

With the cold weather, I am thinking about making a big pot of homemade soup this weekend but I can't decide what kind.  I'm leaning towards veggie/beef but I have always wanted to make (but never have) French Onion.

What is your secret ingredient for your veggie soup?  I always put some parsnip in mine.

That is wonderful news about your father, td!

I did the performance last night using my cane.  I guess it works okay to have Scrooge using a cane, at home in his bedroom, as well as out on the street.....Come to think of it, I think I raised Cain in the bedroom a while back, myself.
