I finished the afternoon viewing with a MURDER SHE WROTE episode from season 4 involving a house that supposedly was the home of Benedict Arnold's mistress. Nice, compact little mystery.

Does anyone know of a way to post a .wav file that isn't on a website?

As far as I know, there isn't a way to post a .wav file. :-\ It would be nice, but it would also take up a LOT of room.

And since I knew my company would be arriving around the time I would ordinarily be mopping the kitchen floor, I went ahead and did it this afternoon during the time I would regularly have been preparing lunch (we're eating a big meal tonight so I only had a salad for lunch).

Glad to have that chore behind me!

Well, THAT can be explained! I won't but that can be explained!

Hi all and a very BIG Birthday wish to our very dear BK!

My boss called me last night and asked me to go with her to learn how to sit on an interview panel.  I couldn't use my computer in her car but since I'm riding the bus home, here I am!

Actually, the one I have in mind is only 31 kb....about the size of a regular photo we post with regularity.

It's the .wav from the "old" forum...the "bitchslap" .wav wtih Carol Kane from "Scrooged" saying, "Sometimes you have to SLAP (sound of a slap) them to get their attention!"

Loads of fun.

I wish today was my last work day for the year.  I've missed a lot of time in the past few weeks but it wasn't for fun.  I hope that by next year at this time I will have built up some  time so I can come and play with the gang!

Does anyone here remember a song from the early '70's (I think) that went:

"Gotta find a woman, gotta find a woman, gotta find a woman"?  Something about a caveman if memory serves but I don't know who did it or what it was called.  It came up at work but no one could place it.

I think it will be about 40 degree here too - but C.
We are possible in the midst of the worse bush fire season in recorded history in this state.  Bushfires are raging out of control and will burn for months!

Pray for the wildlife.

Visibility is poor here - smoke! the fires are 100s of miles away from us. Yesterday I was in the West of the State (The fires are in the heavily timbered East) but there was so much smoke in the air. Visibility today is down to about 500 yards in some areas that I drive through yesterday.  Smoke smoke smoke.

There are fires in our neighbouring states also.

And can someone do me a favor and bitch-slap dear reader Jose from here to eternity and hell and back?  Do it - do it now.  The time is nigh.

Jose, this BITCHSLAP is for you!

(Happy Birthday, BK!)

Had a nice chicken salad sandwich for lunch (since I won't be eating again until much later, after the show).  Have done opening night gifts and now I'll shave and get that out of the way.

Happy, happy birthday Mr. Bruce.
And many broken legs all around to your crew.

I'll be getting a late driving start today. I got hit in the head with a basketball by some little gibbons at lunch recess & the principal wants me to see a doctor.

I will be arriving at LAX around 10:00. Then I need to get my car. So I am not sure that I will make it to DuPar's at 11:00 although I have always wanted to go there and never have it all my times in LA.

Studio City Du-Par's Ventura near Laurel Canyon.

Just had a call from FJL - apparently the lines at the airport were so long and so awful and they had so few people working security that they missed their flight and will not be here tomorrow.  What a shame.

I'd give more details about our dealings with the airline, but I'm reluctant to give them on a public chat board lest I subject myself to charges of libel or slander.  We did, however, get a lesson as to what we SHOULD have done as soon as we saw the long line, and that was be more vocal earlier, because the lady at the counter cared not a whit after the fact.    There was no help on the line at all, and the lady behind the counter seemed as annoyed as anyone that she was stuck with only two people (her and one otehr person) helping a long long line.
