MUSIC GUY, I don't think BK's mentioned the name of the show. But I'm still trying to catch up from two weeks of being E&T, so what do I know?

I concur with EDISAURUS on I <HEART> HUCKABEES.  That film just didn't work for me.

And the word of the day is: PREVISE!
When the new district manager, who had dreams of running the company someday, came to me and asked what I might PREVISE, I told him "You should never strive to be more than a VEEP, SIR."

Hi DR Matt ...... I had seen a promo for the gay fim presentation on TCM, but I had gotten the impression that it was a big "all in a row" festival type thing.  It makes it a lot harder to record it, when it is spread out over time.... Poo !!

They do about five films a night back-to-back, two days a week. Yes, I guess if you're using only a VCR, you have to pick and choose. And, really, some of the films have only a moment or two of suggestive gay material (like the scene with the wardrobe mistress and her gay assistant in THE BROADWAY MELODY. That only lasts seconds. He's in one other scene as I recall, and that's it.)

So, I've found myself picking and choosing even though I could record them all.

Hi dear Ben, you pixie-vixen you!!  I still have very fond memories of that very wonderful dinner with you and Ant, and also visiting you at your apartment.  I hope we can get together again this upcoming trip... and maybe work out something also with Elmo, and I hope to meet Fred and Skip.  To say nothing of that exotic temptress of pianistic talent, dear Jose.  I have to have Jose to blame everything on..... then he can be dealt with !!

I look forward to dinners, walks, pie, cookies, etc.  :)

Tomorrow is the Hartford Express for a colleague and me. I re-worked the presentation and the group to whom we are presenting seem happy with it.

Now comes the difficulty. I just assumed because we were going to Hartford, CT that we would take Metro North to the Hartford station. Nooooo! Metro North doesn't go to Hartford. Oh, well. We will take the MetroLiner Northeast Corridor train. Noooo! That train goes from Boston to DC but it doesn't make a stop in Hartford. There are two ways, besides driving, to get to Hartford. One Amtrak train leaves NY Penn Station at 6:55am. We have to change trains in New Haven and then, if all trains are on schedule we arrive in Hartford at 9:20 - for a 9:30 presentation. Ain't gonna happen. The other travel option is the Peter Pan bus from Port Authority at 42nd Street. One bus a day leaves at 6am and arrives in Hartford (if traffic is good) at 9am. Ye gods! Who knew getting to Hartford would be so difficult. Luckily my colleague lives in New Jersey and has a car. We will be driving from Manhattan, leaving at 6:15am. That should get us to Hartford in plenty of time for the presentation. We will then return to NY/NJ at a leisurely place since the meeting is over at 11:30. We will not have to worry about rush hour traffic. At least my boss said I don't have to come back to the office no matter what time I get back to the city. She said "you've already put in the equivalent of a full day so just go home when you get back." Thank you!!!

Singdaw, I don't think we will hook up this time but I look forward to seeing you sometime during the invasion of Hansie's/Kimmlets at the end of the month.

You know you're thinking about theater too much when you get an email that says

BUY XANAX NOW AND SAVE

and you're thinking it says BUY XANADU NOW AND SAVE.

SPOILER

The funniest line in the show (I don't think I'm giving anything away) is

This is like Children's Theatre for 40 year old gay men.
Ooh!  Just what Broadway needs - NAMBLA jokes!

Yesterday, whe der Brucer and I went to the Rehoboth Beach Farmer's Market, I bought some spring onions.  I sauteed them in butter, and served them with roast pork.

The onions were tangy and sweet at the same time, and enjoyable.

We also bought some lump crab meat, which I'd better fix for our dinner tonight, and some summer squash.  I have no ideas as to how to prepare the crab.

Any crabby ideas out there?

VIBES TO ALL THOSE WHO HAVEN'T BEEN SLEEPING WELL!!

I'm including myself as a vibe recipient, what with all the death and the termites surrounding me.

At least my own family and pets are all fine!

(I don't mourn the termite deaths that will occur today...)

We are having a lovely COLD snap here, folks! Temperatures will only by in the mid-90s today! It would be great for hiking, except the air is unhealthy to breathe.

Boy if you think President Bush has problems with his cabinet - you should read DR LAURA's story from yesterday.

Drama drama drama.

Our first ad of the season appeared yesterday in the local Greencastle paper, and the price for tickets was WRONG.

I got ten emails from "concerned" board members wondering what was going on.  I talked to the editor (go right to the top, I always say) - and then the advertising manager who assured me that the change would be made.

Sleeping will be a bit difficult for awhile since we are still in that darn Jupiter retrograde.  You may as well stay awake and make plans for the summer.

And yes, DR SINGDAW....that would qualify as previse. :)

Hi DR Ginny.... Yes, I'll still be there on the 28th & 29th.  I'm coming into the city at the start of that week.  You have quite a fan club, in the form of dear DR Mikey Barnum..... he was telling me what a nice person you are (when he and I were visiting in Los Angeles), so I look forward to the pleasure of meeting you in person.
