So I saw JCSS last night. Ted Neeley was in good voice as far as hitting the high notes he needed, although the rest of the time he sounded rather old. I had a great seat, 5th row center. It was row A, and the seats in front disappear if they need a larger pit. So there was a seam where the pit goes down in front of my row, with lots of clearance. It was kind of the like the bulkhead seat of the theatre, very roomy.
I didn't mind sitting so close because it was a pretty simple, small production. I didn't get to meet Ted and tell him I was a close personal friend of George's, but I did think of George as I looked at the many pairs of sandals that would have to be freshened. (GEORGE WHITE'S SANDALS?)
The new performance center is wonderful! I hope there is an occasion in the future when Greg will want to go there, too!
