:o  Are you insinuating my accidents are due to a drinking problem? ;)

What would you think if I mentioned all of my injuries due to my klutziness   ;D

You aren't the kettle I was referring to.

From td: LOL-I used to have something like that going on in my attic, unfortunately it was destroyed a few years back-DARN ;D

I wondered if photo was taken at Border’s or some quaint little shop near you.  Does Starbucks (gasp) count as quaint?

Definitely Borders in December, 2007.
Starbucks when not on every corner are quaint.  Our mall has a drive-through Starbucks, which I must say is not quaint. . .though it is convenient.
Don't spread it around, but, I prefer Starbucks' coffees to Seattle's Best's, the latter which we serve at Borders.

I thought Starbucks is served at Border's, interesting change since they purchased Seattle's Best.

Thank you TCB.

I'm looking at Jose's end and I don't see them either... ;D

Whew...long day of work. I had cut together a 5 minute piece to be shown at a theatre in NY for TLC's upfront. They gave me no creative guidance, so it was a bit nervewracking to try and guess what they wanted. All they gave me was a list of shows to include. So I put something together, the dept heads I was working for took it to their shoot on Friday in NY and showed it to the head of the network. They loved the music (yay!) and their only changes were to add 3 or 4 more shows not on the list. So I should be able to finish it up tomorrow and then start on The Closer on Wed.

My fear was that it was nothing like they wanted and I would have to abandon the project to another editor. There may be minor technical tweaks after tomorrow but I feel good getting it to basically a final place. Whew!

Barnes & Noble is paired up with Starbucks.  However, some Border's used to have a Starbucks associated with them, but they did switch over to Seattle's Best.

Of course, what I want to know is what determines which B&N cafes serve the treats from The Cheesecake Factory and/or the standard Starbucks line of baked goods?  ;)

Yet another reason why I love the internet:
I am currently listening to IRMA LA DOUCE en francais, from its 2001 cast recording.
Why doesn't someone revive this show instead letting Patti LuPone wreak havoc on GYPSY?

So I saw JCSS last night. Ted Neeley was in good voice as far as hitting the high notes he needed, although the rest of the time he sounded rather old. I had a great seat, 5th row center. It was row A, and the seats in front disappear if they need a larger pit. So there was a seam where the pit goes down in front of my row, with lots of clearance. It was kind of the like the bulkhead seat of the theatre, very roomy.

I didn't mind sitting so close because it was a pretty simple, small production. I didn't get to meet Ted and tell him I was a close personal friend of George's, but I did think of George as I looked at the many pairs of sandals that would have to be freshened. (GEORGE WHITE'S SANDALS?)

The new performance center is wonderful! I hope there is an occasion in the future when Greg will want to go there, too!

"American Idol" and Jennifer!

What I want to know is, Jennifer...which former houseguest got your vote to return to the house this week?

:D

I am confused. Did i miss a post? What do i have to do with American Idol?

Actually no former houseguest got my vote. I"m not really fond of any of the houseguests. So i did not vote. In past years i loved contestants like janelle or kaysar.

As for who i would like, there are a few i wouldn't mind. I think jen could be fun. I do not want to see jacob or alison.

Parker was sort of growing on me. ANd i sort of liked amanda.

I wonder who is getting the most votes. Most people vote to cause trouble. ANd the ones who would do that are jen or alison. Although if only internet geeks vote they would not vote for those who drive them crazy.

Who do you want back in?

Today was my sister's birthday. We had gone out for dinner yesterday. But we had a dinner at her house tonight. I made a pork roast. For some reason all the pork roasts i've ever made always had a bone.

And for some stupid reason i did not really think about the fact that a boneless pork roast would take less time.

Anyhow it turned out fine (but barely not overdone).

I also made mashed potatoes. And a copycat recipe for KFC's cole slaw, which was good.

Whenever i show up at my sister's house. My 2 year old niece always asks, "auntie what did you brought me?" :)

(she was quite happy with the mashed potatoes and cole slaw).

All of the contestants from AMERICAN IDOL live in a house together?  It sounds like two reality shows rolled into one.

Yes, they do actually.

I began my evening watching THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM. Very exciting, a rather breathless if over-the-top adventure thriller. NO human body could take such punishment; I don't care how much training one has or how tough a person is (I'm referring to the beat-down between Bourne and the hitman in the bathroom). At some point you have to say "enough" but it keeps going on and on.

I enjoyed the cat and mouse stuff the most, but I still think the first one is the best and is definitely my favorite.

The new Juliana Margulies legal show was fine. Did she really have her client suborn perjury for the greater good? A surprise.

Great cast, though.

NEW AMSTERDAM took a step back tonight more toward the feel of the pilot episode rather than the excellent second episode from Thursday night. The mystery was OK; the pursuit of the doctor didn't/doesn't interest me at all. The old story set during the Civil War did hold my interest as it tied into the modern story.

I had read in the newspaper this morning that MEDIUM's episode was the first of a two part story, but it was a VERY frustrating first half with EVERY story left in limbo.

Argh!

I had no review discs come in the mail today, so I'm going to be free to watch more stuff for myself tomorrow. I'll think about what I want to watch overnight and decide tomorrow morning what the viewing slate will be.

Of course, I recorded both episode of OLD CHRISTINE, so I know I'll watch those while I cook and eat lunch tomorrow.
