I'm still amazed that I had misheard the lyrics to "Flashdance (What a Feeling)" all these years, as I learned watching DON'T FORGET THE LYRICS last night.

You can't just leave it like that, DR FJL.  

...And has the "mystery" over the correct lyrics for "Blinded By The Light" ever been setttled?    -Wrapped up like a what?!?!?

According to Wikipedia:

Springsteen, in his 2005 VH1 Storytellers appearance, lightheartedly made the assertion that the sole reason that Manfred Mann's version of the song went to number one is that the altered lyric is actually "revved up like a douche". Bruce said, "The original lyric is 'cut loose like a deuce' referring to a two seat hot-rod, a little deuce coupe. Manfred Mann changed the lyric to 'revved up like a douche', which is a feminine hygienic procedure.... so, they're different." It should be noted, however, that Manfred Mann's website lists the lyric as "deuce" rather than "douche". It was once rumored that Chris Thompson's New Zealand accent may be responsible for swapping deuce for douche; however, this cannot be correct as "deuce" said with a New Zealand accent is pronounced something similar to "juice". A video of a 1976 Manfred Mann performance seems to support the "altered lyric" position. While "deuce" and "douche" would be pronounced in much the same way, in the video, the singer clearly seems to be singing "wrapped" - rather than "revved" - consistent with the "douche" lyrics listeners have heard.

Liked it much better than the real lyric- I'm not talking 'bout moving in.

I've heard the song over a thousand times and never had any idea she was singing "Pictures come alive."  Always thought it was something like "You just come alive..."  But when the (ultra-talented, by the way) contestant had the wrong number of words for the line that had to be filled in, she wisely walked off with the $200,000 she had already won rather than risk it.

My cats are addicted!

A few weeks ago, I bought the kids a tub of these freeze-dried pieces of cod (not to be confused with freeze-dried cod pieces, which are somthing else entirely).  Well, one of the cats (Angel) thought they were okay, but Nicky preferred to use them as hockey pucks on the kitchen floor.  I kept the little tub on a shelf at my desk, and every day or two, Angel would come over and push the tub towards me until I gave her another piece.

Last weekend, while at Petsmart, I saw that they now carried tubs of freeze-dried pieces of salmon.  BIG MISTAKE!  Not only Angel, but Nicky as well, can't get enough of these things.  First, I had to move the tub from my desk to the top kitchen counter.  Not good enough.  Now they both sit in the kitchen and cry for more treats.  Angel started this morning at 7:30, while I was still in bed.  She woke me up, and finally got me to follow her to.... Where else?  The kitchen.
