I have a Japanese import of the Legrand score - fun, and Petula sounds great.  Find some more free downloads.

Ann-Margret (even with the hyphen) would be AM because that's how she is known. People (except real fans and those who go to her Web site and read her bio) don't know her as Ann-Margret Olsson

TOD:

The sleepless nights
The daily fights
The quick toboggan when you reach the heights
I miss the kisses and I miss the bites
I wish I were in love again

The broken dates
The endless waits
The lovely loving and the hateful hates
The conversations with the flying plates
I wish I were in love again

No more pain
No no more strain
Now I’m sane
But I’d rather be punch drunk

The flying fur of cat and cur
The fine mismatching with a him or her
I’ve learned my lesson but
I wish I were in love again

The furtive sigh
The blackened eye
The words I love you ’til the day I die
The self-deception that believes that lie
I wish I were in love again

When love congeals
It soon reveals
The faint aroma of performing seals
The double-crossing of a pair of heels
I wish I were in love again

No more care
No more despair
Now I’m all there
But I’d rather be punch drunk

Believe me sir, I much prefer
The classic battle with a him or her
I don’t like quiet and I wish I were
In love again

MattH... I am glad things seem to working out with the fella!

Thank you, DR Vixmom. We are moving slowly, by my choice and his. And he's very busy with volunteer organizations which don't want to lose good workers and will fight to hang on to them. And he feels a sense of obligation, too, to these groups.

But there is something simpatico that we're both interested in exploring.

Don't know why but as soon as I read this I started hearing

"Falling in love again, never wanted to, what am I to do?...."  in my little noggin head.

Had a nice lunch but due to the cold, I decided I didn't want to walk today. Not that it's freezing, but after weeks of temps in the 60s, low 40s seems VERY cold now.

I watched SHE DONE HIM WRONG when I got back home. It's not a movie that has aged well, I didn't think, although the print TCM broadcast was in OK shape. I still find I'M NO ANGEL loads of fun, but this earlier one is full of bad acting and a threadbare plot.

I think so. He was at one time a model, but that was in his youth. He's 53 now, and like me, showing age more and more with each passing day.

I had the leftovers of my dinner for lunch.  The Vixter has a superbowl party to go to and Vixdad and I decided to go tot local pub that serves lovely meals.

I had grilled chicken breast on a hero, with grilled  portabello mushrooms  and grilled red peppers on top, served with sweet potato fries and a brown sugar dipping sauce and homemade coleslaw.

It was wonderful but so big I could only eat half, so I brought the other half to work for my lunch and it was very yummy!! In fact, it was so good I want to go back tothe pub and get another one tonight, but they're closed on Mondays....which is probably a good thing for my waistline

Finished the afternoon viewing with another CSI fifth season episode. This one had to do with a family who kept a house full of pipe bombs and ammunitiion. Horrifying to think there are people for whom these are as natural as a Streisand CD or a Garland DVD.

I got a haircut over my lunch break. Then I picked up some loverly roast turkey, mashed taters and gravy and apple pie. YUM!

Then I busted some kid who's announcing auditions for his production of RENT.

Life is good.... :D

Good Afternoon!

Well... I got my run in... Eventually...

I drove over to the University of Richmond campus so that I could run - and time - some laps on their very nice track.  Alas, since the Women's Soccer team was practicing, the track was off limits.  Ah, well...

So, I headed over to Byrd Park to run their Vita Course - it's a nice mile loop.  As I was driving there, I decided not to make a pit stop in order to "relieve myself".  Well, by the time I got to the Vita Course, I really had to "go", so I headed over to the public restrooms... Which were locked up for the winter...  So... I headed back to my car and drove to Carytown to use the bathrooms in Ukrop's.  Then on the way back to park, I got caught behind a pothole repair truck.  I cut through an alley to get around it, but, of course, by the time I made it to the next intersection, there was the pothole repair truck and crew.  Well...

Once I made it back to Byrd Park, I ran one warm up lap - one mile - then did some stretching.  Then I ran three more miles.  And according to my handy-dandy chronograph watch, I'm now running a 9:00 mile - down from my usual 10:00.

:)

I really would like to get back to a standard track to take a more accurate measurement, as well as to run on a level playing field - literally.  I do like the track in the park, but there's one hill right before the 1/2 mile point, and the final 300 yards are also on an incline.  But, still, four miles today... Not bad at all if I do say so myself.

:)

And what did he say, DRJASON?  Is he in your area or was it a floating RENT game?  Did he offer you a role in the show?
