Matt read the earlier posts - it will tell you what settings in your profile to change to have things working the way they used to.  I had a response from the software guy, and I really don't know how I could have been clearer, but he came, opened an account and was able to post so he somehow thought everything was fine.  I've sent a new message that once again clarified what the problem really is - hopefully he'll understand that.

They sent the RIGHT person home on TOP DESIGN last night - although I am entirely over Wisit and his flat opera singing - and sabotaging of other designers with his own ideas....then last night it was an individual challenge, and I really like his room the best....go figure.

As far as I am concerned, though, he should have gone home instead of Kerry during the window challenge....oh well.

So I read the notes at the old site, and then come to the new site I bookmarked to post....would be nice if it linked from the notes.....but if it's working we are still ahead of the game!

Our new profiles do not have space for bio information, as did the old.

On the plus side, some day in the not too distant future I will be able to re-live my favorite board status:  FULL MEMBER.

Revising posts no longer leaves the tell-tale evidence.

I think.

Never mind!  :)

I watched LOST

Really?  I thought that returned much later in the program year.

Just goes to show how addled I am about this "new" posting system.

I meant BONES.

Yes it does, DR Singdawnewbie (whew--wait till DR Karen gets a load of that nick!)

There is a very small "last edited by" tag at the bottom of edited posts.

See?

Wait a minute--I know I saw it on a post I edited earlier!

Yes, on Post # 74, at the bottom, it says: « Last Edit: Today at 10:18:40 AM by DannyBoy »

There!  See?

Today I'll be working on Jean-Pierre Melville's LE DOULOS. I like his films but I've never seen this so I'm really looking forward to it.

I also have last night's PROJECT RUNWAY to watch.

I really like Robert Downey, JR, so I think after reading DR MATT H's comments on IRON MAN, I may purchase it.....but I will wait a couple of months when it goes on sale as a PVP at Blockbuster for $10 or so....

Maybe it does not show n the first edit?

Such as now...

Maybe on the second edit?

Or the third?...

Or if you hit the actual "Modify" button?

DR MATTH I was very disappointed with ALL the designs on Project Runway last night....and the attitude of a lot of the designers....but there you are.

DR Singdawnewbie (whew--wait till DR Karen gets a load of that nick!)

If I thought this current profile was anything more than temporary, believe me, I would have gone for something much simpler!    :)

You mean, something that would put DR DannyBoy's exquisite fur piece around my neck?

I did not get into this season's PROJECT RUNWAY.  I watched three episodes and none of the designers perked my interests.  Tivo is continuing to record the show, but I might jsut put a stop to that.

BTW, I guess the show will be remaining on Bravo?  Does this also mean it will stay in NYC and not move to LA?

I have sent a new volley of e-mails to Bakalor (who may or may not be done trying to help - haven't heard from him today), to one of the heads of the software company, and to the guy who's been helping us.  Hopefully, someone will respond.  Someone on their chat board answered my help post and he pretty much confirmed what most of us suspect - that there's something in the permissions page that allows only one post from our old usernames, then disallows further posts.  I've sent everyone the link to the permissions page, and this guy's response.  But they move verrrrry slowly.

Well that, too.  But I used to be able to put several pictures together in a nice grouping with some soft edges and backgrounds and frames and stuff....but there you are.

Why don't you just go into the Permissions page and poke around?  It's probably something extremely simple, like a checkbox or something.

Just had a response from one of the software guys to an e-mail I sent yesterday at one.  He's one of the higher ups, so I sent him the link to my ticket responses, and to the board postings and also gave him the username and password of the board.  Maybe he'll get on it soon.  I'll keep you posted.

I have never used the board password or username and wouldn't even know where or how to use it.  And I'm sure I'd break everything.

SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER

ON PROJECT RUNWAY, I thought they should have dumped the obnoxious Kelly who finally learned from everyone what a horror she is.

I think so. I believe she did not want to re-register on a library computer and she will re-register tonight from her home one, If we're still stuck with these new identities.
