So all of this has happened after yesterday at work when we had an upgrade to our online catalog.  Then, this morning our internet at home was down.

How do I hide my email?

Ginny, your email is hidden.  It only appears to you.  I double checked this.

MBarnum- Once you are un-squished your new avatar will be fantastic.

Mbarnum, try going in and changing your avatar, even if it's back to the same photo. When I did that it came up bigger

No, DR Cillaliz, I can't see your email - it's like the IP addresses, then.  You can see your own, but not others'?

Go into your profile, select "Modify Profile" and then "Forum Profile Information".  There you will find a cache of photos.  Go to the photo you want and select it.  I did that and it resized my photo.  I had to go through the procedure of saving by entering my password at the bottom of the "Account Related Settings" page.

So do I, I'm looking at the PM button that's under your photo. If  you're online it's bright green, if you aren't it's like the green light was shut off...or something like that

Speaking of PMs, currently, the top of the screen says that I have 18 messages...HOWEVER, when I went to the old board, there were only 15 messages.  How did I get 3 extra messages??  They are 3 from Elmore from 2006.  I don't mind having them but I don't need the information anymore.

There also isn't any kind of notice that says, "Your Inbox is 60% (or whatever %) full.  Does that mean it's unlimited??

I keep changing my avatars but they are all squished. For why, I don't know.

I didn't.  I just picked the avatar that I had been using.  It was in the big list of avatars, when I updated my profile. :-\

Yup. It makes no sense that you can only email yourself, but it's better than having everyone see it

You can still email someone.  Their name shows up in the box instead of their address.  Try emailing me.

I've just written the guy who fixed it, and asked him to do four more things - that will probably be it for awhile.  I'm sure that this new software has some good things that come with it, like maybe unlimited message space in your PM box.  I've still asked him to fix it so guests can't see profile info - maybe he has?  And it sounds like there's now a workaround to get the pix right, so see the post above on this page on how to do it.

I don't know that you should be able to e-mail from the board, but maybe I'm wrong.

I do think we're going to be stuck with the fifteen posts a page thing, but I don't mind that at all.

My avatar is not in that cache of avatars it seems, perhaps because my avatar is just a link to my on-line photo album. I am guessing I need to actully download it onto HHW, rather then link.

I think you can only email from the board if you don't have your email "hidden"  I can see BKs but can't see others (except my own)

Yes, MBarnum, that will work.  S. Woody and dear reader Jose need to log on with their old names.

I will work on that at home.

I think that that might be the solution.  If I hadn't gotten Vista at work, I could do it, but I did, so I can't anymore. :P

Maybe all our GUESTS went away since there aren't any.  Can someone log out and let me know that as a GUEST you can still read and access the board?

I had two English muffin cheese puffy things.  I also, in addition to dealing with our board problems all day, wrote the first part of the new number for act two of Nudie Musical.  It's fun!

Hmm, I guess the good news is I am no longer squished.

I'm back to small.  I clicked on I have my own picture & then used browse.  I don't see any other photos to chose from.

Bruce I did do what Ron suggested, but I didn't know which of the three choices was correct, and the only photo I add was my squished avatar.

Jose, where is the  list of photos to select from?
