I'm glad I'm going into Atlanta today for SISTER ACT. All I can hear here are the sounds of chainsaws and dozens of large earth movers.

Giant Sinkhole Swallows Homes, Killing Two
By JUAN CARLOS LLORCA
AP
GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala (Feb. 23) - A 330-foot-deep sinkhole killed two teenage siblings when it swallowed about a dozen homes early Friday and forced the evacuation of nearly 1,000 people in a crowded Guatemala City neighborhood.

The pit emitted foul odors, loud noises and tremors, shaking the surrounding ground. A rush of water could be heard from its depths.

The package with THE BRAIN and Joan Ryan was the only package in the first round of mail that I picked up.

So, now you have 2 BRAINs, DR Elmore?

Was the talk of repinking too much?

Well, you'll just have to forgive us if we call you "TPink" from now on.

It was a bit chilly last night.  I know because I woke up cold and had to pull the covers up.

Why I didn't simply turn on my mattress warmer I couldn't tell you.

It's time a enjoyed a bit of a repast....time to break my fast, so to speak.

A nice hot bowl of cinnamon oatmeal, I think.

I'd love some grits, but I don't have any bacon or sausage that isn't frozen.

And it's quite apparent that was in the upper class section of the city, too!

Perhaps a millenium of unregulated "waste water"of a half-million residents destabilized the sub-strata.

I haven't seen any of these movies and have only heard of a few of them, so I'm just trusting Joshie on this. But he hasn't seen any of them either, so I don't think he knows what he's talking about.

I am working with Trish the talker today who just happened to mention that she had a childhood and it was just an astigmatism that she had to deal with.

Hey all.  Been trying to read the posts and trying to find time to post for the last few days but one thing always leads to another and I never finish.  It's rather cold today in the Area of Bay in CA.  Normally, I don't feel the cold much, but my feet and hands are like ice.

The last few nights, I was the "conductor" for Pippin and that worked out quite well.  I must say as I never speak to highly of the SS (that would be Stephen Schwartz as opposed to Stephen Sondheim - bk's close personal friend) it was fun to play some of that music.  It's one of those shows one can really get into musically.  Plus, the band (we're 5 pieces) really rocks and it's always fun to play  in the middle of an ensemble were the players really work together.  Tonight, it's back to the synth part <yawn>.

I have no Oscar predictions.  I hope the movies I have seen this year - "The Devil Wears Prada", "Cars", "The Queen". "Little Miss Sunshine", "Dreamgirls" do well in whatever category they deserve to win in.

Time to clean the house.  Will try to keep up today!

Good morning / afternoon/ evening!

We had a very strange performance of ANNE FRANK last night.  We had only been off since Tuesday's show, so we shouldn't have lost the pacing, but the whole performance seemed slow and a little bit forced.  Several Laurence-Olivier-why-don't you-try acting moments by me, and by other cast members.

The strangest thing about the evening was the audience.  We have gotten very positive reviews for the show, good word of mouth, and there have been several Anne Frank-related news stories the past couple of weeks.  So, we were a bit surprised when, instead of our almost sold-out houses of the last few weeks; we had instead about a half house for the show...

...And, they just sat there, staring at us for two-plus hours, like we were a touring exhibit of King Tut memorabilia.  No laughs, no intermission buzz, and a very subdued curtain call.  A very strange evening!

So, the upshot is, I have to return and pick up packages.  I think while I'm out I'll pick up fixins for chili and make some!
OOOH! That sounds good, I'm going to check the cupboards to see if I have all the ingredients and if necessary make one more run to the store.

The Diary of Anne Tut.

Well - it's different to be sure!  I enjoyed playing the Doctor/Dentist....but the potato stealing scene was always difficult.
