Of course, one need only Ask Mr. Mark  who's going to get the Oscar this year.

Difficult, usually, to predict winners before predicting nominees, though Jackson will be tough to beat. At the moment it appears these will be the five director nominees (all rankings in order of most to least likely):

1   Peter Jackson (Lord of the Rings III)
2   Clint Eastwood (Mystic River)
3   Anthony Minghella (Cold Mountain)
4   Peter Weir (Master and Commander)
5   Tim Burton (The Big Fish)

Five Spoilers include:

6   Alejandro González Iñárritu (21 Grams)
7   Jim Sheridan (In america)
8   Sofia Coppola (Lost In Translation)
9   Vadim Perelman (House of Sand and Fog)
10   Edward Zwick (The Last Samurai)

Darkhorses include:

11   Gary Ross (Seabiscuit)
12   Ron Howard (The Missing)
13   Quentin Tarantino (Kill Bill)
14   Norman Jewison (The Statement)
15   Gus Van Sant (Elephant)
16   Stephen Frears (Dirty Pretty Things)
17   Mike Newell (Mona Lisa Smile)
18   Richard Curtis (Love Actually)
19   Robert Altman (The Company)
20   Robert Benton (The Human Stain)
21   Nancy Meyers (Something's Gotta Give)

I'd like to point out the lovely "Modify" feature. It appears in the top right hand corner of all of your posts, and is most useful when words are misspelled or thoughts/entire posts are incomplete/incomprehensible.

I asked Mark if he could add "Spell Check", but he won't. Who here wants to chip in and pay for spellcheck? *raises hand*

EDIT: I messed something in this message up. So I clicked "Modify", edited, and voila! A more organized post. Easy, eh?

Holy moley on rye - I go away and watch a DVD and come back and find we've had over 120 posts in two hours.  That's what I'M talkin' about.  How jiggy are we with that?  Pretty jiggy.  I was really concerned we wouldn't make it past 135 but we did.   Which just goes to prove once again that soon we will be the most popular site on all the Internet.  No other board has had this many posts today.

What happened to our story?

I'm going to sound like a perty-pooper but I believe that there has been some confusion here lately between POSTING and CHATTING -- in some rather loose manner I must add!! Sorry, Mr Brando! -- BUT it might be the sine  qua non regarding the FATAL NUMBER of "posts"... so be it!`

Who am I to say?!

Hey everyone!  I apologize for the late post....I'm currently at my friends' house for the cast party of Macbeth...tonight we closed and it went very well!

Swishy--What a lovely surprise that would have been to have gotten that call from you!  But I SO appreciate your sweet thoughts, and hopefully we'll talk on the phone again soon!

I am not fogging anyone's memory...really!  To quote the Hunyak, NOT GEEEELTY!!!

Only wlajb is confused.  This is not chatting, this is posting.  Chatting is for the chat room (tomorrow night), posting is for the post board.

Let's have a last-hour flurry, shall we?

Just watched Legally Blonde 2.  Don't bother with this movie unless you have a high tolerance for sweets.  I actually fast forwarded through some of the sappier scenes...
