I have a bizarre question, provoked by my thinking about a late co-worker from the Drama Book Shop: does anyone remember a made for television movie from the late 1970s or early to mid-1980s, about grandparents fighting the boyfriend of their dead son for custody of his child? This has been driving me mad for the past couple of weeks. The movie was based on a novel that my friend Thom was crazy about.

Anthony's mother made the same complaint about public tv fundraising last weekend when we were there.

We get Channel 50 NJ Public Television via over the air and they show Keeping Up Appearances and As Time Goes By and Chef. Even though they are now controlled by Channel 13 (as is Channel 21) they have their fundraisers at a different time. In fact, they just finished one so we were able to get our Britcom fix

It is cold and rainy here. Lows in the 40s tonight, so I turned the heat back on. I went back to Greek Fest this noon and had the lamb chops. They were wonderful

Wow, Vixmom, 19 and 20. 2 weeks ago 6:30 got you 15 on the line. But at least they sell both matinee and evening rush at 10am so you are pretty much assured a ticket if you're at that point in the line.

I guess people are trying to see it in advance of the Tonys a week from Sunday.

And we had another hot day. I don't think it actually broke 90 so it won't be a "heat wave" but it was hot enough to turn on the AC. Tomorrow it's supposed to rain and drop into the 70s.

She is on her way out east to meet with the guy who has been on tv for the prosthetic arm that your brain operates. She's got a meeting to see if she can get into the study and get one of those totally cool arms

I love rhubarb things but not enough to learn how to cook using rhubarb. It's just a big old red stick and you have to chop it up and cook it and do all sorts of things to it. I'll leave it to the experts.

Her amputation was at the shoulder. That's very unusual and that's one of the reasons they are interested in working with her. I'm very anxious to hear how it goes.
