We braved the icy Portland roads today as we had been given a guest pass to shop at the Nike Employee Store, where everything starts at 50% off and then is often on sale on top of that. So we got the kids a bunch of cool stuff, I got some shorts/tee shirts, Betsy got workout pants, all for a relative pittance. Then on to the memorial service which was very nice as those things go.
Portland is due for two more major snowstorms--one on Wednesday and another on Saturday, so I will be venturing out tomorrow to stock us up on foodstuffs, etc. I fear I may need to cancel my final orchestral-choir rehearsal on Wednesday evening for the upcoming Oratorio, but if it's been snowing all day, I know most everyone wouldn't come anyway. Such is life in the Pacific NW.
