I'm sleepy.  I've been "front loading" my weekly schedule so Monday-Wednesday are pretty crazy, Thursday is a little better and with any luck, nothing is set on Friday.   This week I managed to do just that. So, I am really looking forward to relaxing and just getting some work done at the office.  Not having any court dates or appointments really takes the stress off the day

On a lighter note,  Sioux City has given up on getting the airports three letter designation changed and now has embraced it with an advertising campaign.  Here's a sample of the campaign:

The hats and shirts sold REALLY fast all over the US and even a few from other countries.  They are sold out right now, but I was lucky enough to get one as a premium with my donation to the local public radio station.

I'm glad you didn't think I was referring to the SUX hat.  I would love to get a shirt.

Speaking of which, DS Betsy is writing an actual routine for none other than John Cleese, who is going to be appearing in a documentary filmed here in l'il ol' Portland.  We're all very excited.

Wow---I would LOVE to hear more about that!

Why why why is "Getting Married Today" sung at a tempo that I can only call "way too *&%^ing fast"?

I've read/heard several interviews with Stephen Sondheim who said that he wrote it so that it would be easier to sing if it's at a faster tempo.  I've heard it performed live VERY fast and the woman who sang it was very good.  But I love BK's "Maguire Sisters" version. ;)

BK, do you (or anyone else, for that matter) want the password for the HHW Photobucket account that I created?  I won't post it, but I'll PM it.

I would like it, George. Does it explain how it works? I've never used a site like that.

Also, I got my DVD package today. Thank you so much, George!!

I don't think hardened staff member should ever be used in the same sentence.

I myself was wondering if it was a euphemism...

There is NOTHING that beats BK's arrangement!  I would LOVE to have him do Mcguire Sisters version of even more songs!

Forgive my ignorance, derBrucer, but did you mean the Ku Klux Klan?

That's a common mispronunciation here in the South. I wonder why they didn 't call it that in the first place; it rolls right off the tongue...just like spit.

Count me in as a McGuire Sisters fan.  Of course "Sugar"in the morning would have been appropriate.

Well, I found Sioux City Gifts online, but the only shirt they show has FlySux in very little letters.

As a kid, I always wondered what folks meant by "Clue Clucks Clan."  It never made any sense when I first heard it.  It made even less sense than that when I learned what it was.

(As Amy can avow, folks in the South often pronounced "Ku" as "Kloo").

Sad to say they even recorded a "Twist" version in 1961.
