Yes, DR Jose. Some of them are the macro -- some are zoom (I couldn't get close to the dragonfly). It has the big square battery instead of the AA.

Singdaw I remember Lee Remick in THE COMPETITION, good movie with a good cast.

Cody [a chocolate lab] is visiting us for a while.

Unfortunately, he has severe hip dysplasia.  He's not in any pain right now, but at some point he's going to need a double hip replacement, and his owner can't afford the medical bills, OR the time to invest in six months of slow, painful recovery.  Very sad!  I've heard of programs with veterinary schools where they'll perform such operations for free, as a learning experience for their vet students, but the owner then doesn't get the dog back...it's adopted out.  Still worth investigating, I guess, if it saves the dog!

That is very sad.   I’m guessing a six month recovery means one hip at a time, with the dog sedated during most of the recovery period.   I believe the success rate is rather high for hip replacement.

I’m hesitant to agree giving the dog up is worth it for free medical care.  How old is the dog?  Research might uncover some Lab clubs, or groups, that assist with medical costs.

Good vibes to Cody and his parents.

And I would have given the win to Amy Irving too.  Richard Dreyfuss' piano-playing-faking was not good.  At all.

ROTFLOL!

I guess one needs to play the piano to have noticed.

I must have heard about ONCE when you mentioned it DR Jose as I keep waiting for Netflix to get it...if it is still playing in NY when I am there I will go and see it with you, if you have a hankerin'.

Just yesterday my brother suggested I see it.

I told him to rent STRANGER THAN FICTION.

My guess is that DR Jose can now play the black notes too.

All I know about Matthew McConaughey is that our last minister thought he had the cutest butt. And when DR Sandra gasped when she made that announcement, Pastor Sara told us that we should all appreciate God's great creations.

What's unbelievable to me are the number of people here who like me are at around 20 years of experience and have decided to do what I'm doing - switch to immigration law.  It's interesting and we've all had a good time talking about it.

The strange thing is...if Congress passes their bill...most of what we are talking about will be irrelevant

We stayed at a place in Scottsdale that had a similar type pool.  It was fun to swim in.  I can't remember the name of the place.  From what I was told there are numerous hotels in Scottsdale of the same style.  I believe they are called ranches.

I was listening to Guy Mitchell singing "Ninety-Nine Years" yesterday.
(I suspect most DRs won't know the singer let alone the song). It was from 1957 and very much the basic James Bond theme.

Nearly all of Guy Mitchell's hits were written by Bob Merrill. (99 years was not)

DVD: Slings and Arrows Disc 1
CD-HHW Birthday songs
TIVO Enterprise

We couldn't get a decent picture when Enterprise first aired & didn't enjoy the show.  Now we are watching it in HD & wish it hadn't been canceled so soon.

Was it a long time ago, or recently?

I just saw a full page ad in Variety, "for your Emmy consideration...", a show called The Librarian starring Noah Wyle.  I missed this completely.  Was it any good?  It must have been remarked upon here, given all our librarian DRs.

The must be Librarian II. I worked on the campaign for the first one, which was so-so. I think II is supposed to be better, and I seem to remember that Der B liked it.

And of course, Noah Wyle is always pretty cute!

DR Laura-A long time ago.  Once a year Keith had a business conference and spouses, or partners, were invited.  We went to some nice places.  That hotel was by far the best because they got a special rate on it.

Are you familiar with the ranch hotels?  I couldn't find anything on-line.  Am I remembering it incorrectly?
