Many interesting things in the basket, including two huge boxes of Russell Stover candies, many See's suckers, a box of Godiva truffles, Hershey's kisses in a Hershey's kisses ceramic jar, other Hershey products, some high-end hot chocolate and many interesting candy bars that I've never heard of.  I should be finished eating it all in about twenty minutes.  April Fools!

I have written two count them two pages thus far, although I've also been doing some additions to yesterday's pages, so it's a bit more than that.

bk - From where did this basket of chocolate come from again?

*And there was a time when I probably could have gone through all that chocolate in about 20 minutes.  :P

Hmmm... If brunch ends up turning into a nice afternoon gathering, I guess I could head on up after rehearsal...  Hmm...

Although...

I MUST(!!!!!!!!!!!) go through the pile of mail on my desk tonight, or I'm going to be in deep doo-doo as the week goes on.

And I MUST(!!!!!!!!!!) do some laundry tonight too.  *Although, I'm very tempted just to drop it off at the laundromat up the street tomorrow morning.  Hmm..

-Just had to say the above "out loud".

I won the chocolate basket at last night's silent auction, at a fraction of what it's worth.  I love those See's suckers.

Sunday morning greetings!  DS Rob and I are going to  Palm Sunday (Anglican) mass with DH Richard this morning.

I hope the festive brunch at Fred & Skip's is a huge success and there are lots of photos!

I feel very guilty.  I skipped Palm Sunday services this morning.  I got up bright and early, and in plenty of time; but I was just feeling out of sorts (who enjoyed it immensely), so I made excuses to myself, not to go.  Now I wish I had gone.

In an April dream
Once you came to me
When you smiled I looked into your eyes
And I knew I'd be loving you
and then you touched my hand
And I learned April dreams can come true

Oh are we just April fools
Who can't see all the danger around us
If we're just April fools
I don't care, true love has found us now

Little did we know
Where the road would lead
Here we are a million miles away from the past
Travelin' so fast now
There's no turning back
If our sweet April dream doesn't last

Are we just April fools
Who can't see all the danger around us
If we're just April fools
I don't care, we'll find our way somehow
No need to be afraid
True love has found us now

Thanks ,Ron, one of my favorite songs.

NEWS FLASH

Rare dinosaur fossils have been unearthed in a pre-school playground in Arizona. Scientists from the Smithsonian are enroute to investigate.

In other news from the Copper State: a perky brunette was found wanding about the desert near Interstate 8. The lass seemed disoriented and kept taking about tap-dancing aliens. She has been flown to Portland, Oregon to be treated at the Frances Farmer clinic.

I'm back from a delightful HHW gathering at the home of DR FJL, his partner the mighty talented Skip, and their delightful children Toby and Dylan, starring the fantastic cuisine of Mr Skip Kennon.  Today's specialty was the best fried chicken - and I'm from a long line of experts in great white trash fried foods - I have ever tasted.  The food was plenty and tasty, the company sparkled, the vixter was raising hell somewhere, and the conversation was witty.  All you DRs should be suffering earburn for the next day.

The guests were the usual suspects - Skip, FJL, Anthony, Ben, vixmom, the vixter, moi, Rodzinski, and TPunk - and our Georgia guests DR edisaurus and her DH Greg.  As for DR Jose, who seems to feel that work comes before good times, he was missed.

And now I'm tired.

Oh, the good news is the bank account is now running, so I guess my fear of hackers is over.  For now.  I'm still afraid of Lady Macbeth.

I've been noticing that it's time for me to "get healthy" (again), and Ms. Kitt's "gentle reminder" was just what I needed.  So...

Does Ms Kitt know that you eat daily three times your body weight to survive?

BTW, the cake was tuly amazing!

Almost brunchtime

Wonder if there'll be time to do a "red carpet."

Why?  Did you drop the cake?

Well... Since someone needs to conduct today's matinee of A Chorus Line, I'll be here for the duration of rehearsal this afternoon.  So, no brunch for me.  :(

I really wish I could join the festivities, but I'll have to settle for being there in spirit.  However, fried chicken and red velvet cake make great leftovers.

*Now, if any DRs would like to head down to Chelsea Studios after brunch...  I'm sure Ms. Kitt would love to meet all of you.  ;)

While you NY and Georgia HHWers were having, and possibly are still having, a grand 'ole time at FJL, Skip, Dylan, and Toby's apartment, I was interviewing the delightful 1950s/60s actor Ron Hagerthy...if you have ever tuned in to a TV show from those two decades then you have seen his handsome face...he was in just about every show ever made! He really did work a lot...and in films as well...like TITANIC, I WAS A COMMUNIST FOR THE FBI, CITY THAT NEVER SLEEPS, and the classic 18 AND ANXIOUS.

He also spent two seasons as Clipper on SKY KING.

He was one of those actors that played teenagers until he was nearly 40 years old! LOL!
