$600 is better than $32,000. Unless you were talking about a tax refund. Then $32,000 would be better.

Yes, $32,000.00 would be a very nice tax return.  And $600.00 is a very nice hospital bill.

I just got off the telephone with my medical insurance company.  We have decided that I don't owe $35,000.00 for my hospital stay in April.

Now that's a nice decision.

Well, that's a relief!

I agree with both of you.

It did seem like an excessive amount.  Did they give you the correct sum due?  I hope it is now reasonable.

Kidding!  $600.00

LOL.  I looked at the first post and said NO!  Funny too, when you first posted you talked to your insurance company & didn't owe the money I scrolled down to make sure there wasn't a punch line prior to commented. :)

$600 is better than I expected.

Laura, I thought you said that sandstorm the other night was not a haboob.  That is what they called it on the news.

Was the bill from the doctor as reasonable?

Well, that is what the hospital originally told me woudl be my share of the bill.  $200.00 a day copay for the first three days.  However, since they don't make those decisions, I wasn't going to count my chickens.  But $35,000.00 was horrible.

I have to say it's heartening to read about Ginny and Cilla and the fact that at least one of their parents is still around, something that DW Wife Betsy also shares (both of hers are still alive).  My parents have been dead for so many years that it always surprises me to meet people in my general age group whose parents are still with us.  Love them while they're here!

JRM....thanks for this.  I really do appreciate my parents. I call them every day. They make me laugh every day

I don't think I have gotten the final bill from him yet.  My follow-up appointment with him is on Thursday, and then I will probably get his bill.

Well, TCB, it was a very nice dust storm. But it wasn't like the ones we had last year.

It just figures.  I never did think our local news people were terribly bright.

I saw a photo in the online paper the next day, and it did look like a haboob. A big wall of dust. It just didn't have all the BIG wind that the ones we had last year had.

TCB, there are people complaining about the use of the word "haboob." Some folks think that the word we used for decades -- dust storm -- is just fine.

The National Weather Service a few years ago decided to set the beginning of our monsoon as June 15. THAT is worth arguing about. It's not monsoon until the dew point averages at least 55 degrees for three consecutive days. Duh.

This is far less than my 5 day stay with my shoulder.  Hmm, does your bill include the surgery costs?

I've lost count of how many fires there are in Arizona at the moment? Seven or so?
