Sasha is NEVER bitter. She is always very even-tempered. Except that one time she bit you.

Yes, well. She meant that in the nicest possible way, I'm sure.

Dear HHW Folk,

If any of you will be in Harrisonburg, Virginia tonight (ha, ha), the JMU Chorale will be performing a concert at Harrisonburg Baptist Church on South Main Street!

The concert will include selections such as Bruckners "Os Justi," Brahms' "Wo ist ein so herrlich folk," Moses Hogan's "Elijah Rock," Mendelsohnns (spelled HORRIBLY) "Psalm 100," and Von Williams' "O Clap Your Hands."

It's going to be a rockin' time.

In other news, GORGEOUS DAY!

Be back around midnight.

All I know is that she was an old lady who couldn't sing but did any way. My mom can probably tell you more.

You've never heard the indescribable Mrs Miller?  She is to popular music as Florence Foster Jenkins is to bel canto.

I had lunch with Mr. Kevin Spirtas, I finished the chapter (after adding two long paragraphs to the middle of it - something I was going back and forth on I decided to do - I was worried it might be a little early to do it, but with only sixty or so pages left, I feel the book will be now hurtling towards its conclusion.

DR Swishy Sarah, the correct spelling of Mendelssohn is easy.  It's Jewish and means Mendels Son.  I believe the family had converted to Christianity.

That is an easy way to remember - thanks.

Oh, and as long as we're going for accuracy, it's Vaughan Williams.

Mrs. Elva Miller was a singer in the 60s who performed often on the Merv Griffin Show.
