Thanks, DRs George & Ben, for the interesting theatre reports!
RE PRIVATE PRACTICE.I kept thinking about myself. When my partner of 8 years left me for another man, I dove into community theater big time. If I didn't get a role in a show, I ushered, sold concessions, worked on the crew, and it was there that I met every single close friend that I have in my life right now. These doctors wouldn't feel so lonely and so emprty if they would DO something with their lives rather than sit around and mope about their situations.
This gives me an idea for a couple of one-act plays. The first will be entitled "Godot Gets A Job"The second will be entitled "Waiting For FedEx".
And that is all for now. I want a full DuPar's breakfast this morning !! DAMN IT !!But instead, I just had my 2 kinds of fruit.
Must add Paul Robeson to my 1930s singer list. I almost forgot him...well, actually I did forget him.
...When we remodeled our kitchen the counter tops were just about the last thing to be done.
And in the "who-gives-a-crap" category, I shall continue to share some of the work-in-progress pictures of the typhoon going on in my kitchen. Here are 2 pictures from day 2, which was Tuesday.
BBL (big belly laugh in Internet lingo).GODOT GETS A JOB is priceless, Ron.
When our kitchen was redecorated, we ran out of money before replacing the counter tops. That's why there are harvest gold counters in an otherwise cool blue, white, and brushed chrome kitchen.
Interesting Ginny. Did you make the decision to leave the counter tops before redecorating the kitchen? Otherwise I think the counter tops would have been removed before you ran out of money & you would be completely without them.
Gosh, Ginny.....I have your countertops' matching refrigerator and stove!
Actually, it turned out that I was glad the harvest gold counters were still there. Not long ago, the man who build our house for his family to live in 50+ years ago was in town visiting his daughter (our age) and they came to tour her childhood home. The wife/mother had died not long before, and Chris (the daughter) ran her hands along the countertops and said, "It's still Mom's kitchen."
But instead, I just had my 2 kinds of fruit.
And the word of the day is: FUGLEMAN!
The sun just came out here, won't last though. I think we are beginning to have some of those winds heading towards TCB.
