Hold your hats and hallelujah, I have just completed watching the DR MBARNUM recommended MUNECOS INFERNALES.
It is a frightening movie that is very interesting in subject and execution. it is truly the work of a demented creative staff. I have NOT watched the American K. Gordon Murray version yet.
What is really unusual is that an ACTRESS is top billed and is the protaganist in the story. She does NOT defer to her fiance - whom she is reluctant to marry at all. She is the expert in voodoo, ancient rituals, black magic, AND zombies....but I will not reveal the ending.
This role is played by an actress with my new favorite celluloid moniker:
Elvira Quintana. She is stunningly beautiful. She had been a store clerk working to pay for acting lessons, had gotten a few small parts in films....then DANCE TEN; LOOKS THREE - she got her nose fixed and silicone injections and became an ESTRELLA in her next movie.
The superstructure is indeed impressive - and I don't know HOW they painted those eyebrows on! Sadly Elvira passed away in 1968 at age 33 from complications of those silicone injections.
Oh...did I tell you that midgets play the dolls when they go on their murderous rampages....sent by the Sorcerer whose office has a disco ball. And that there is a car that has the front/headlights of a 1959 Dodge and the trunk/tail lights of a 1959 Plymouth?
BER-SERK!!! And high recommended. Thanks, DR MBARNUM.
