THE KIND OF SEPTEMBER
« on: September 01, 2006, 08:24:30 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, you couldn't post, now you can post, and therefore it is time to post until the cows come home - they're trying to remember the kind of September but they still think it's August because they kept getting too many connections.  Let's make up for lost time, shall we?  Let's put on rouge and lipstick and eyeliner for lost time, shall we?

My hot water heater has been drained and removed.  The little closet in my bathroom where it has been is quite wet on the floor :P and actually has been for quite a long time!  The guy said that there's a little dent in the floor.  I don't know if that means that the floor underneath is definitely damaged or just possibly damaged, but at least getting the tank out was easy.

DVD Player: ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT (Season 3)
iPOD Video:  LOST, Season 2 Finale (I am hopelessly addicted to this show)

I had literally just gotten out of the shower and was drying myself off when the doorbell rang! :o I was able to dry and dress quickly and then the hot water heater guy got started fairly quickly.  The new tank is already in place.

This is fast?  It's been very hot here for a week now.  Not quite as bad as July, but getting there.  I'm going to try to jog at nine-thirty, before I head over to my ten-thirty meeting at the Farmer's Market.

Got an e-mail this morning from someone who PREordered Simply Sondheim, asking about the status of his order made three days ago.  I bit my tongue and simply responded and suggested he look at the order page where it is clearly stated that the release date is October 3rd and that preorders will ship two weeks prior to that, which, in this case, it absolutely will.  In every press release or announcement, that is also stated.

DR jhvw - I have found the best way to enjoy QAF is while doing something else.  Great promise never fulfilled - and really bad acting to match the REALLY bad and illogical scripts.  Can you believe Gale Harrold is starring in a new series this fall?

I think some folks get disturbed because their credit cards are charged immediately (or money is deducted from their paypal account), but that too is explained on the site (there's no other way to do it with paypal) and it's also explained that preorders are how small companies exist.

Great news about BRAIN....and even more excited about the "unannounced" news - wonder wonder wonder what it could be?

Well TOMORROW you can tell Alice (aka Alicia) that the DePauw Tigers will be playing Wabash next weekend, if she wants to make a visit.  They're playing for the Monon Bell....  Of course as a DePauw alumnus, I must root for my Tigers.

New York's NBC station has not been broadcasting the dreadful STARTING OVER and broadcasting infomercials instead:  this week I've had an hour of Time/Life romantic listening, and today's financial education.  I can't wait to finish lunch and head to the NYPL.

I watched Wednesday's PROJECT RUNWAY; Jeffrey is to Angela as I am to Sally Mayes.

I see in the IMDB ad for THE WICKER MAN that the child Nicholas Cage is looking for is the daughter of a former lover?  Doesn't that shoot down the presmise of the original film about sacrificing a virgin to the gods?  Another must-miss remake!

Good. Today is today. Which must mean that tomorrow will be tomorrow - at which point it will be today. All is well at HHW.

I'm late going out for my brisk 2-mile walk, so it's going to be HOT. Oh well. I have story thinking to do, so perhaps the heat will help.

Laters!
