Favorite soup:

French Onion.

My former partner used to make a simply delicious potato soup which I simply adored. I miss him and I miss that soup often.

I almost thought that you were going to write that you miss him but you miss the soup more. :D

No, but I remember All-State Choir.

Me, too!  I went to mine when I was a senior, in 1984.

Does anyone (dakota maybe) know what is going to happen to the soaps with the writers' strike?  Will they keep going? Show reruns?

I don't remember who posted THIS the other day.  it might answer your questions.

DR RLP,

I was only able to find a couple of photos on my computer, but here is one of my sister Sue, with her grandson Ben....

They could show reruns for quite a while and no one would notice.

BUT I WANT SOME RED LEAVES!!!!!

Right out in front of where I work, we have some trees with red leaves.  I'll try to remember (a Jones and Schmidt reference ;)) to take some pictures.  I actually have my camera with me. :)

Here is a better picture of Allen. The other one was too out of focus. Here he is holding Lexi, who is the grand daughter of my brother Dan.

I am now wondering what the chances are that you might be able to post photos of them.

Photos of them grinning and baring it?   ;)  [DR MBarnum said it, not me!!]

I also enjoyed DR MBarnum's post.

DR Elmore, sending you a big hug.  i wish i could knock some sense, & compassion into your difficult brother.  when my sister had me in tears or screaming my brother calmed me down by reminding me, it could be worse-we could be her.

remember you are loved by many, many people who know & value the person you are.

Thank you, Nursie! I'm grateful to know such wonderful folk on this site and I appreciate all of your kindness.  Some days - in this case the past week - the frustration piles up and I would rather have fun on this site than piss and moan all the time.

I much prefer a good laugh to self-pity, and when I don't feel social, i know I can always count on a good laugh from some DR.  Bless you all!

Time for me to get to the store.  Foodstuffs must be found, and such.

Thanks, DR MBarnum, for the photos.  Would like to see more if you happen upon any.

Did all you kids ever take a group photo?
