My gosh--I was just cleaning up my list of recordings on Tivo and I realized that Beverly Sills had hosted a Live From Lincoln Center broadcast on May 3rd and aside from being a little heavy, she looked great!  Her illness must have effected her surprisingly fast.

Back from a meeting, which was interesting.  Like I needed something else to do, but I've agreed to supervise a recording project for Lynda Carter - it happens in about fifteen days - basically I'll run the session and lend my good ears, then Vinnie and I will mix it.  Not much money, but every little bit helps, and I like her, so it will be fun.

Spoke to that Musical Director chap and liked him very, very much.  I offered him the job, he's accepted, pending checking with his boss on Drowsy Chaperone just to make sure he's covered for the few dates he'd have to miss.  That's a big load off, and I just hope there aren't any conflicts.  Whew!  Wrote the general manager on bended knee to see if we could work something out.  Otherwise, I'll move on to the next person, or I may just ask dear reader Rodzinski to be my line producer.

Whew, I made it back safely from NYC! What a fantastic trip and what fantastic people populate that town...I am so fortunate to know such wonderful Haineses and Kimlets!!! What a crew!

I will post photos tomorrow perhaps, but I am still pooped! I arrived at my home environment at 1 am and got up around 6:30 am when my friend Ron  brought Bosco home on his way to work (he and his partner Patrick watched the pup whilst I was a away.

I have several days of postings to catch up with, which I may do later this evening ....but as I have been out and about and working in the yard all day and chatting with neighbors and shopping....well, I am gonna flop on the couch for awhile.

It's sleek, fast, cute — and pink.

But it doesen't live in Arizona!

I love the pink dolphin.  I guess we are just lucky that Jerry Falwell already passed away.

Before I go I must add that the gods were certainly smiling on me when I requested the limo service to drive me to the airport...my driver was a wonderful, wonderful guy from Egypt (grew up in Cairo) who had only been in NY for a little more then a year. His name was Gudda (sp?) and he is a 34 year old chef (he got his culinary degree in Australia, where he lived for about 10 years)...however, he discovered that most places in NYC hire very low wage people to cook...so he found it more economical to work as a driver...more relaxing also.

Anyway, he and I talked and talked and talked the whole hours trip to the airport! What a great guy! He was astounded that I knew so much about Egyptian pop music (I told him Amr Diab was my favorite modern crooner) and movies...he couldn't get over it! Even even turned off the George Benson that was playing on the stereo and popped in some Arabic pop for me!

He told me I needed to get a nice Egyptian wife...but I told him I would prefer an Egyptian husband...he laughed and then told me he would find me two (2) Egyptian husbands, and how would I like that!! LOL!

He also laughed when he found out we both liked Bollywood movies (which are popular in Arabic countries)!!!

I think Gudda would make a fine husband  ;)

He truly was the frosting on my NY trip! What a way to go!

First glimse of Vegas.  Here is a photo of the classy whorehouse, I mean the gayly decorated, I mean our upgraded room at The Flamingo Hotel.  Sadly, the photo does not do it justice.

DR 3D, are you in show business?

Would that I were. Was?

My response about the costumes was made from a business standpoint -- that's what made sense to me.

First of all, I want to put to rest those rumors about the WSMA having work done.  Rubish.  Here is the most recent photo taken of the The Phantom and I, just a couple of days ago.

I ain't eaten 'em yet. There was half a tuna salad sandwich and some cheesecake sitting in my fridge as well. That took precedence.

Ack! I knew I forgot to take something with me!! LOL!

Oh wait, that was Madame Tussaud's in Las Vegas; and that is supposed to be Michael Crawford.

OK - Now I'm heading down to midtown.   And I may just have to walk by Piece of Chicken to see what they have today.  :)

Laters...

I do hope Mr. Willison is on time, as I'm completely starving.  I'm going to try and make tonight the start of my serious dieting.  Haven't eaten anything today, so if I can just do a reasonable dinner without being a pig, that will be good.
