Ask BK:

Have you ever considered do a CD of songs from musicals based on the works of Charles Dickens?

And if you did would you call it: The Dickens You Say?

Nope.  But it's not a bad idea.

I addressed over half the packages, wrote another page, and shall now sit on my couch like so much fish, before toddling off to sup.

I shall do the remainder of the packages first thing in the morning - my Joan session has been changed to Monday.

This morning I went to the river; this afternoon I had a board meeting. I am tired.

DR Jose, enjoy the BBQ in Memphis!

I plan to!  Although, due to a change in location this year, getting to my favorite BBQ places is going to be a little tricky.  However, I'll still be walking distance from The Cupboard, which is a good ole "meat and three".  They truly have some of the best hush puppies and corn muffins I've ever had.

And I thought our DR Jose was the only tramp on this here site!

Well, I'm the only one who's still "practicing".  Or at least able the practice.

Ooohh.... I was just checking the menu for The Cupboard... I have a feeling I'm going to have at least one "brown meal" as an old friend of mine used to call it: Fried Chicken, Fried, Okra, Fried Green Tomatoes, Corn Pudding.  -Along with the Hush Puppies, Corn Sticks and Corn Muffins that will "greet" me at the table once I sit down.

That's Good Eatin'!

DR elmore - It must be in the air today - I've been a bit down today myself.  I think it's just the continuous cold weather.  And a bit of cabin fever on my part.  -I do have to say it was nice getting out of the apartment earlier today to get my apartment, even though it was cold outside.

...Although, I guess finding out that my insurance will not cover any of the hospital expenses as a result of my ER visit for my cut thumb back in November may have something to do with that too.  :-\

So when is that HHW Virtual Garage Sale going to take place again?

In any case...

While unpacking the one piece of luggage I'm going to take to Memphis, I went ahead and straightened up the contents of my dresser.  -The dresser that I basically dumped everything in last week during the move.  And, lo and behold, I ended up with a bag of clothes for the trash.

So, once the whites are out of the dryer in a bit, I'll finish packing for my trip, then spend a little chunk of time organizing my desk.  Then let the prime-time TV viewing begin!

They're trying to find a copy of itunes 6 and they hope that will make it work better. I've been running 4 for awhile I guess...

DR George - "Oprah" is rebroadcast at 9:00 in your area?  Is that on the network? or one of the cable stations?  The ABC affiliate here in NYC rebroadcasts it after "The Jimmy Kimmel Show".

In any case... It was a good show.  I hope they follow up on the families they profiled as the year goes by, especially since "This Is The Year..."

-And now I want to know what the "Secret" is on tomorrow's show.  ;)

Hmm...  It seems to be "Chocolate Fudge Hour" right now on The Food Network.  First Alton Brown's fudge show, and now "Unwrapped" is featuring fudge-y foods.

....Oh, that's right, it's also "Hot For Chocolate Night" too...

Hmm... I do have everything to make an Amazon Cake... Hmm...

DR Ginny - Catching up from the other day... sort of...

I'm not sure how you get to be in the background during the tapings of "Unwrapped", however, I do know that restaurant reviewers do welcome self-invitations from readers looking to be dining companions.  A friend of mine in DC has had many a wonderful meal - and not so wonderful meal - courtesy of the Washington Post.

...Like I said, sort of...

Umm...

No.

*But it really is a wonderfully simple recipe: cocoa powder, flour, baking soda (or is it powder?), sugar, water, corn oil and cider vinegar.  And very good and chocolatey.

I'm finished with stuff, and I've been watching a spectacularly bad recent film, about which I'll have plenty to say in Ye Olde Notes.
