Every once in a while for no particular reason I will leave a Panera danish ring and a gift card for $20 on my parents' table for them to find when they wake in the morning  (or at least I did  last year, once every other month or so)

The commercial with the girl on the bike with the overgrown pitt hair--I could have done without that...

Well, stay tuned for more of the same:

BOOST MOBILE ADS

Quote
William Gelner, executive creative director 180LA, crafted the "Wrong" scenes that highlight the series, including: pigs eating ham, a coroner dropping a burrito into his work, and a woman with extremely long armpit hair riding in the front seat of a tandem bike with no regard for her fellow biker.

I can't wait to see what the ad agency does with these accounts:

Monistat
Preparation H

Massengill

I'm not really a fan of Panera, although I do like their muffin tops.

Yes, Michael Shayne, the song Emily is featured, twice.

That muffled noise you hear is RLP's head imploding.   ;D

Now, at last, the actual fact has been confirmed and all is right with the world.

Really?

No.

If I meant "simpering," I would have written "simpering."

Can we get audio and/or video clips?    ;D

How about a "personal" replay?

Lunch ran very late, it was colder than I expected (a light jacket wasn't really quite enough; I won't make that mistake when I'm out tomorrow). When I got home, there was a review disc waiting - IRONWEED.

However, IRONWEED is 143 minutes long, and I only had two hours left in the afternoon viewing window, so I'm saving IRONWEED for tomorrow.

Instead I watched four items on the DVR. I began with the Biography of Erik Estrada which played last night. Well, he WAS a hunk in his younger days, but that ego! Wow!

Next, I watched last night's LIFE. Interesting case with some fun lines and situations. Good murderer, too, that surprised me.

CSI: NY was next, and it had a very mundane case with an easy to identify murder. A. J. Buckley had a chance to deliver a really nice performance. He was the best part of the show. Craig T. Nelson was the primary guest star.

I skimmed through today's AS THE WORLD TURNS. The boys were on, but can Luke be any more impulsive and wrong-headed? The real drug dealer/ supplier is SO obvious.

However, I do enjoy seeing Kevin, so this little (lame) murder mystery is worth watching just on the fof chance that he'll show up.

Were your comments meant for me or for Dan the man? He was the one who said what
happened last night didn't make sense. I was responding to him when i said perhaps it
didn't make perfect sense. But it still made enough sense for me. So i actually agree with
what you said. dfiodfsidfsoiu pdffdoiudfsouidfsoiudfsoiudfsoidfoiufsoiuoiuoiuoi uoiuoiuoiu

Dan (the) Man was being Mr. Cranky Pants.

While I "was" responding to your post, I was probably remarking upon some of his comments.

I am never Mr Cranky Pants--I was more like Mr. Overthinking Capris.

And I know that it's unfair to judge an upcoming show by commercials, but man--the two stars of that CASTLE show have all the charisma and chemistry of a couple of pieces of wet cardboard.

Any thoughts on NBC's upcoming "Kings"?  -I'm sort of pre-disposed not to like it because of all the commercial trailers they've been running in movie theaters over the past couple of months. Every time one started, I would think it was some sort of soft-drink promo, and then when it would finish, I still wasn't sure exactly what was being advertised.  -And neither did anyone else in the theatre. What was that?

It reminds me of that ABC mini-series from about ten years ago--LOST PALMS was it called?

I ended up rescheduling the dinner for Saturday night - I just wasn't feeling up to going out tonight.  Just ate some foodstuffs and am relaxing and watching the Jerome Robbins doc on American Masters.

Whew!

A few more days of sorting, shredding, and pitching and this dressing room/den/home office of mine will be in much better shape.

Signing off now to review some materials for tonight's discussion of People of the Book and have dinner with Richard before I take off for my book group meeting.

Bye for now!

The Vixter is busy doing laundry, unloading  the dishwasher and planning dinner.  I shall be quite unneeded once I get back on my feet .

My brother's fiancee has asked me to be a bridesmaid - I am honored of course but I feel a bit like it is dressing mutton as lamb

I am over 50 and a good 10 years older than the bride.

Am I being silly?

Ladies I appeal to you - the other bridesmaids would be her younger sister and some of her friends who I presume to be her age.

They would have Vixdad as well which is fine , men can wear tuxes and look wonderful whatever their age.

The wedding is set for October 10.

They also want the Vixter to sing which would be very nice.
