Monday morning greetings!  We were up early and on the road to the hospital by 7am for what John's wife thought would be a family/physician summit about his condition and care.  By 10am it was clear that not all the physicians were willing to participate and we were sent home.  In great need of comfort food, we came home by way of Central Pastry.

 ???

DR Jane - is your expression a reaction to the non-conference or to our stop at Central Pastry?   ;)

LOL.

Has a definite conference time been set?

The conference took place at about 4:20 this afternoon and several pivotal questions were answered.  It's still not good, but John's wife and daughters don't feel quite so "in the dark."

The eldest daughter, Rev. Amy, who lives in NW Ohio is in town for a couple of days.  She usually stays with her sister Jen, but that household has bronchitis, so Amy's staying with us this trip.  I've just prepared the guest room, with wireless internet info and chocolates on her pillow.

Niece Amy may never leave ;)

I know how confusing it is trying to communicate with multiple doctors, I'm glad they all showed up.  It is a shame the family has been kept in the dark for so long.

Sherlock is all tuckered out from his shower this afternoon.  I'm wired as I've been eating coffee ice cream with chocolate KandyCakes.  No wonder I didn't sleep last night, this really must stop.

I had a friend back in the Seventies who used to collect social diseases.

TOD:

I think I mentioned before here that my main problem with collecting is that I'm cheap and I'm generally unwilling to put out the bucks that real collecting requires.  The most moeny I ever shelled out was for the Alexis Smith Tony award but that was a rare instance of coming across an item that I could not pass by.

But among the things that I casually collect (or at one time collected) are:

60's Toys -- mostly toys that I had or that I coveted
Cereal premiums and toys
Soaky containers
Peanuts -- still tracking down a decent Charlie Brown Talking School Bus
Comic book action figures

What is a soaky container?

I had a friend like that in the  70's too.  Luckily for him, he settled down before things got worse.

Bubble bath in a bottle shaped like cartoon characters.  Think of Mr. Bubble meets PEZ.

Regarding MILK, almost immediately, I forgot that I was watching Sean Penn.  His Harvey Milk is a truly brilliant performance from head to toe, he immersed himself into the personality creating one of the most believable characters he has ever put on film.
Josh Brolin scared me in a good way:  he look like both Gus Van Sant and his father, James Brolin at the height of his popularity.

DR Jane - go to your Profile page on Facebook.  Then go to the "Info" tab.  Each group you've joined will be a clickable link.

OK, YOU TRIVIA FANS, I NEED YOUR HELP:

http://www.tvparty.com/commercials/listerine69.ram

Who is playing "Dave" in this commercial?  I know it's Clifton Davis as the other guy, but this one's driving me crazy.  It's one of the commercials in the Mama Cass special I'm reviewing (one of the other commercials is a Playtex ad featuring Bernadette Peters, believe it or don't), and I'd like to identify this guy.

I have been a collector since forever. I began collecting movie photos, posters, and pressbooks when I was in in High School. First item I bought was through the mail, an ATTACK OF THE 50 FT WOMAN lobby card for $3. Next was an 8x10 photo from ATTACK OF THE PUPPET PEOPLE. And on it went from there.

I sold several of my movie posters a few years back, for a nice sum.

While I still collect movie items, I stick mainly to collecting June Kenney, Allison Hayes, and Ken Clark memorabilia

Will you stop collecting June, now that she is alive again?

Right now my biggest investment is my Kritzerland Records limited edition CD's - many still in the shrink wrap and in MINT condition.

I also have every Kritzerland release, but all but one of my CDs have been opened and listened to.  The only title that I haven't opened is "Evening Primrose."  I bought two copies of it and have opened one. :)

Thanks to everyone for the good wishes about the cruise.  My sister refuses to discuss it.  She thinks I am a pepperoni shy of a pizza, but that is her problem.

DR Laura how is Jane doing?

They will go in to be spayed/neutered when they weigh two pounds. They are at about 1.5 pounds now. So another couple of weeks.

Jane is doing well. She is not nearly as protective any more. Actually, she sometimes hides from them.

Whew!  I thought Nurse Jane was having a breakdown!

JMK, sorry I can't see the commercial.

You need to have Real Player installed and choose "run" when the dialogue box comes up.
