Dan the Man - I just want to watch them - don't really care that much about the quality, as I'll probably re-watch on Blu-Ray in December.

It's hot as hell in Philadelphia.

It's supposedly HAH here in NYC too.  I haven't stepped outside yet, so.. Guess I'll find out later.

The thermometer outside our kitchen read 100o when we sat down to eat lunch.

One of my mother-in-law's favorite expressions, in response to an "I want..." statement, was, "People in hell want ice water!"

HAH here as well, but not quite as bad as yesterday....yet.

Tonight I will be attending my first rehearsal of ARSENIC AND OLD LACE.

Good morning, sweetlings. Thanks for all the nice hi's from George and Ginny and TCB and Jane and Elmore and, jeez, short-term memory loss... huh? Collecting? Well, every closet and cupboard and most of the floor space is filled with wads o' crap - so I must be collecting SOMETHING, fa chrissakes... a rhyme or reason, an intention, a method to this madness? Hahahahahahahah!!!!! No discernable clue. A lot of the crap looks like talisman, amulet, charm, touchstone, keepsake. But, as I said, bit o' memory loss here...

Well, DR td, we already know [with photographic evidence] that you have the gown to attend said Ball appropriately.     :)

Fiddle-dee-dee!  Is that an invitation?

Monday morning greetings!  We were up early and on the road to the hospital by 7am for what John's wife thought would be a family/physician summit about his condition and care.  By 10am it was clear that not all the physicians were willing to participate and we were sent home.  In great need of comfort food, we came home by way of Central Pastry.

 ???

DR Jane - is your expression a reaction to the non-conference or to our stop at Central Pastry?   ;)

LOL.

Has a definite conference time been set?

BK, I'm not sure where you could watch LOST episodes.

As was mentioned ABC.com would have been my first place to suggest.

But they only have the last episodes.

If you do a yahoo/google search of "watch LOST online" there are lots of sites that claim you can watch the show. I just don't know if they are credible.

I have Comcast cable service and none of the ABC shows are available through On-Demand. :P

It's hot as hell in Philadelphia.

Craig & Ioana only have one little air conditioning unit in the living room, not that it works all that well.  The 5 1/2 years we lived there we had nothing.  We did join a swim club many of the neighbors belonged to.   That was fun.  I just wish someone had told us about it the first summer we lived there.

I have been a collector since forever. I began collecting movie photos, posters, and pressbooks when I was in in High School. First item I bought was through the mail, an ATTACK OF THE 50 FT WOMAN lobby card for $3. Next was an 8x10 photo from ATTACK OF THE PUPPET PEOPLE. And on it went from there.

I sold several of my movie posters a few years back, for a nice sum.

While I still collect movie items, I stick mainly to collecting June Kenney, Allison Hayes, and Ken Clark memorabilia

When I first discovered Ebay I began collecting Gumby items. However, that was short lived and I have sold or given away most of it.

Salt and Pepper shakers have long been of interest to me and I have a nice collection of those. I like the figural ones..people, animals, cartoon characters, etc. I still pick some up from time to time.

In Jr High I was collecting foreign coins and stamps.

In the 90s I collected autographed photos, in person and via sending out photos to celebrities to sign...mostly B movie people as well as the occasional current, but not well known, actor.

Those autographs I will never part with.

Oh...

I just washed the dishes, cleaned the kitchen, vacuumed the floors, organized my bedroom, sorted through the junk mail and threw out the trash.

I guess I should not sleep more often?!?

DR JRand58, I was just thinking about the Nadir Production of MAN OF LA MANCHA that I saw around 1977 at Miami University Summer Theatre. The Aldonza was a Middletown girl I once directed for the Miss Butler County pageant. Oy!

She was a very affected performer. Her big line as Aldonza, as I recall, was something like this: "Huhwhat's in may hot weel get you holfway to hail."

A singing body part from outer space in a spoof of 50's sci fi...where do they GET these ideas?

And now it seems that someone up in NYC is selling Frozen Brain treats:

The line was actually, "What's in my heart will get you half way to hell," or something similar. She came to NYC to model around 1980 and I have no idea what's become of her since.
