Well, you've read the notes, the notes were long and involved, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home. They're currently having an anatomy lesson. I don't know what that means, and frankly I'm tired of the damn cows.

Good morning, all! Welcome back, DR edisaurus! I have missed you quite a lot and I am happy to see you back with us.
This afternoon, we will run Act Two with the orchestra and go back for more Act One fixes, I believe. This morning I have to go to the theatre and look for the envelope of scores I left in the auditorium last night. It contains my last invoice and i want to hand it in to the production office today before the rehearsal begins.
DR Jose, I am assuming things are fine for tomorrow night, but I have no idea about the procedure; I will ask Rob Berman and Tripp, the stage manager, about the procedure. I will also ask Kathy Lowe, the company manager, when I take her the invoice.

BK,
Thank God! There is somebody else out there who does not think that BRAVEHEART is the greatest thing since chopped liver. I never really cared for it that much and only have it in my DVD library because it won "Best Picture". [I was hoping that BABE would win that year.]
ROB ROY was released the same year and, I think, it's a much better movie.

Yes, the UPS truck has not made an appearance, so my day off is totally dependent on its arrival. I'm assuming FLASHPOINT will arrive in today's USPS mail, but the Fox Blu-rays come out this week as opposed to FLASHPOINT coming next week, so best case scenario would be to start on FLASHPOINT and watch as many episodes as I can before I have to put it aside for this week's releases.
Long story short: may have a day off, may be watching FLASHPOINT, may be watching MIRACLE ON 34th STREET (1947) on Blu-ray.

I didn't mind the MAD MEN episode quite as much as some others. I do like it better when we are at Sterling Cooper for most of the action.
Betty had obviously seen LA DOLCE VITA and a couple of other Italian films - she looked quite au courant in her black outfit with the hair all teased up. And I like how Don pretended to pick her up. I also liked her Jackie Kennedy pink outfit when they first arrived. The Pete story - only there I guess to get him to Bonwit Teller to find Joan - who looked fabulous, but needs to get back to S/C as quickly as possible.
-
And Like DR MATTH I watched the Mummy/Emperor's Tomb last night - in Blu Ray.
DR MATTH expressed a sentiment that is almost universal about the actor playing the son - I liked him, but maybe just because he fits a stereotype that is popular with me personally. I heartily agree that the new actress playing the wife is inadequate - but Rachel Weisz was SO good, it was an almost impossible task.
And as for Brendan Fraser....well....I always like him.

Ah... Steve Martin is building a house in NC close to where my brother lives. He's hoping to work on it but they may be all crewed up. Apparently he wanted to have a house near the Rangers, who are based out of Asheville, I believe. I hope he gets to work on Steves' house!

DR George,
When you said that your library never had late fees. Did you mean for everyone or just for employees?
My library has late fees (it is something like $2 a day for dvds). But it does not apply to people who work at the library. I don't like this rule, because twice it's happened that librarians took out dvds that other people had reserved and they did not bring them back (and i'm not talking one day late).

DR Cillaliz, did you and your mom pick your favs yet on DANCING WITH THE STARS?
I really like louie and chelsie. He's not the best dancer. But he is so cute and they were smoking hot last night.
I think the best dancer is mya. I do like her. Although her personality sometimes rubs me the wrong way.
I like kelly osbourne. Although she was so much better the first week.
I also like aaron carter. I think he has potential.
And i do like donny and kym.
The ones i like the least are chuck liddell and michael irvin. And tom delay (although i actually liked him after what he did last night, dancing injured).
Natalie is okay but to me a bit stiff. She doessn't show her personality. I thought joanna would be better. And melissa joan hart is okay. But i don't like her as much as i thought i would.

I don't like this rule, because twice it's happened that librarians took out dvds that other people had reserved and they did not bring them back (and i'm not talking one day late).
The fines are for everyone, including staff. We had never charged ANY late fines before this...just for lost or damaged items. And if a lost item was paid for and returned within a year, the patron could get his/her money back for the replacement cost (not the late fees)! This still applies, so that's good. Click HERE (http://www.trlib.org/overdue-faq.pdf) for a .pdf of FAQs for our new fines.

Had a great day of leisure viewing. I didn't get the Blu-rays from Fox. I didn't get FLASHPOINT, so I felt free to watch anything I wanted.
I did get the next Criterion release, 'Z,' (sadly, only on DVD and not Blu-ray), but it doesn't come out until the 27th of the month, so I thought it was a bit early to tackle it. However, if the Blu-rays don't come tomorrow, I will go ahead and do it, just to keep from having too large of stack of discs waiting to be watched and reviewed.

They will undoubtedly find some way for Joan to rejoin S/C. She's far too valuable an asset to the firm (AND THE SHOW) to lose her at Bonwit's. However, I disagree that we only were clued in to Pete's dress dilemma to find out about Joan. I think the dress business and the nanny dalliance planted a seed for the beginning of the end of his marriage. He's screwing around in his own apartment building, and the neighbors know it. Don't think for a minute it won't come back to that spoiled wife of his.

By the time it finished, I had selected the Blu-ray of the day to watch - THE PELICAN BRIEF.
I had the old DVD flipper disc, but hadn't watched it in years, so this was a great way to refamiliarize myself with the movie. But it is LONG! So, I only got about 95 minutes into it. I'll finish it when I go back down. It didn't appear to be a BD-J disc, so I may luck out and have it start back where I left off. That would be great if it happened.
Picture quality was fine without being stunning, but I LOVED the Dolby TrueHD track. The music sort of seemed to hover over me in places, something that NEVER happens with regular Dolby Digital audio tracks.
And I had forgotten how many famous names are in this cast (apart from the two stars, of course): Stanley Tucci (in a series of disguises and looking good enough to eat), Jake Weber, Anthony Heald, John Heard, John Lithgow, Cynthia Nixon, Robert Culp, and the ever-gorgeous Tony Goldwyn.
-
I did have time to skim through today's ONE LIFE TO LIVE. Fish was on hand, found out that Staci is pregnant (though she told him it wasn't his; she lied), and also did some ace police computer work.

DR JoseSPiano - don't forget!!
This Thursday at 8pm, WNYC will re-launch WQXR on 105.9 FM as a public radio station dedicated to classical music.
-
I noticed that CBS has ordered 13 more episodes of FLASHPOINT. Added to the 9 unaired episodes they already have, they now have a complete season of the show they can air.
The problem is, they have a schedule with no weaknesses. Right now, every series (with the possible exception of Jenna Elfman's new comedy and GARY UNMARRIED) are operating at or above acceptable ratings for the time period where they've been placed.
They may try FLASHPOINT in NUMB3RS' timeslot just to see what it does in the ratings. NUMB3RS has been on long enough that it's getting expensive to produce, and FLASHPOINT would save them a lot of money if the ratings are the same.
-
I'm heading back down to pick up with THE PELICAN BRIEF. Then, time permitting, I'll launch into THE MAN WHO CAME TO DINNER.

I've been entering the little Nudie fixes. One of them involved moving a scene to another sequence and then writing a new tag to a musical number. But once I did that it creates another problem in that the scene that follows, which used to work coming where it did, now needs some kind of segue to get to it - this sort of thing is maddening. I have a call in to the Wechter boy to discuss.

Back from my 2 grantwriter meetings in Dayton - my presentation went well once I convinced the IT guy that, yes, I really did need an internet connection and, no, I wasn't going to corrupt their network. Sheesh, they ought to take a look at some of the places that laptop had visited before I ever touched it :o

BK,
Druxy, I agree Rob Roy much better than Braveheart.

Good Evening!
Well... My phone call turned into an email. There were a couple of important points, facts and figures that needed to be presented "in writing", or at least written down by somebody. I did not want to leave any room for error, misunderstanding, mis-hearing, nor misinterpretation. Just waiting for a response now. In any case...
THANK YOU FOR ALL THE VIBES!!

DR George,
When you said that your library never had late fees.
WHAT?!?! Your library never had any late fees? REALLY!?!?
That's just crazy talk.

DR Jane: re: the flu shot.
My sister mentioned that here they are doing 2 flu shots this year. One for the swine flu in oct/nov and then the regular flu shot in january.
I still have not heard when they are starting the shots for my area. I need to check that out.
January, when does flu season begin there? It seems kind of late.
I just heard a similar thing on the news here in NYC, however, some areas will start receiving the vaccine for the "regular" flu in November. Alas, as with all flu vaccines, they are meant to prevent the previous version of the flu. I'm wondering if receiving both the H1N1 and the "flu" vaccines within a certain amount of time could possibly affect the effectiveness of either one.
*The big battleground right now here in New York State is that the State has mandated that all healthcare workers must receive the H1N1 shot - even if they normally don't get the yearly flu shots - and this year's regular flu vaccine will not be mandatory. There is talk that some doctors, nurses and internists could end up being fired for refusing to receive the vaccine that they are supposed to administer. Talk about a "gray area".
-
You mean you folks haven't started getting seasonal flu shots yet?

It's "crazy" no more. We also used to be able to have up to 200 items checked out at one time (http://www.trlib.org/checkout-hold-limits.htm) and have up to 100 holds placed on items. That also is no more. The limits now are only 50 items checked out at one time and 25 holds placed.

Betty was fabulous. I was wondering if they would bring Joan back to S/C to take over for the woman who caused the riding lawn mower "incident." She certainly isn't staying. ;)
I'm pretty sure that Joan will end up back at S/C somewhere down the line.
And as for Pete and that dress, well... I wonder if das Baby could possibly be on the way?
*During one of my rare visits to Boston to see my godmother, I remember going to Bonwit Teller with her. -This was about 20(?) years ago. She was picking up a dress that had been altered for her - I think she was attending a wedding that weekend. It was truly one of the fanciest stores I've ever been in. -I just looked up the history of the store, and this must have been after Bonwit Teller had relocated to the very upscale Back Bay on Boylston Street. (I remember Boylston Street address.) We entered a salon-like room, we sat down, they brought the dress out for her, showed it to her, and then walked her and the dress to a dressing room. A few minutes later, she came out with the dress on and stood in front of the mirrors. All was good. She then returned to the dressing room, and after a few more minutes, she returned to the salon. Her "dresser" then followed us to the car carrying the dress for her. Fancy!
-
You mean you folks haven't started getting seasonal flu shots yet?
I think there is a limited supply of the seasonal vaccine right now, but everyone seems to be focusing on the H1N1 vaccine since that seemed to be the most pressing concern. *Of course, after the breakouts of H1N1 we had here in NYC over the summer, there have been no confirmed cases of H1N1 over the past few weeks. -At least that's what I think i head on the news.

I don't watch this show. But until you posted this i thought CBS had been showing the new episodes this Fall (since it's been running here). I guess it's only been running in canada.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JMK!!!!!!
-
DRs Jane and Laura,
re: the flu shots.
I think usually here we get them in november. BUt we can't get them as easily as you seem to. We have to go to a clinic.
I haven't read anything yet about when they start in my area (i will check in tomorrow's paper). But my sister said that she was told that they did not want to give both sets of shots at the same time. I don't think they offer them in sept/early oct like you guys get them.
-
You mean you folks haven't started getting seasonal flu shots yet?
I got mine today when I took mum to the doctor's office.
-
I got 3 more movies from the library. Last night i watched MILK which i had never seen.
I will say i thought sean penn was amazing. I can't even imagine watching this movie without him. It was a good movie. Although not exactly my cup of tea.
Tonight i watched TAKEN with Liam Neeson. I enjoyed it. Although i wish they could have done it without so much violence. And i totally don't get how he could take on all the bad guys alone. He should have had a team!
I also got FROST/NIXON which i never saw.
-
Speaking of reminders, TCM is showing YOLANDA AND THE THIEF tomorrow morning at 10am. I know that the film has its fans, myself included, here on HHW.
-
Now I want to watch all of the old MUMMY movies.
I've never seen any of them. I suppose I should remedy that.
Enjoy the first one
Sit through the second one
Skip the third one
-
I agree with you, DR Jennifer regarding TAKEN, but, let's admit it, it's just a popcorn movie, one that really should not be taken too seriously.
I probably liked MILK much more than you did, finding everything about it fascinating, especially its incredible attention to period detail.

Nope. Here they have not even told us when they are available to be gotten.
I am definitely gonna check the paper for dates tomorrow. And if it is not in the paper i will call. But it's always in the paper for the towns near me.
-
I'm listening to the original soundtrack of SONG OF NORWAY.
-
Soon I will be sitting down to watch the blu-ray of SNOW WHITE.
DR Matt H - I caught your review on HTF, very nice!
-
Wow. I got mine last month. And I was disappointed so few people showed up at our clinic on Sunday. Most people here have had them already.
Both pharmacies on our end of town have been giving flu shots this year. Last year we went a bit earlier & waited in a good sized line at the only pharmacy with a clinic. This year we went across the street (we were too late for the other clinic) and had a short wait. I don't know if there had been a line across the street.
DR Jose, you make a good point about having the 2 flu shots close to each other. Since the swine flu is a year round deal I would rather be vaccinated for that in the spring, if I were to opt for the vaccination.

DUPLICITY (with julia roberts), WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS (with Cameron Diaz) and MANAGEMENT (with Jennifer Aniston). I don't really know much about any of them. But for free I can't really complain. I just wish the library got more television series. I still have not yet seen season 4 of the CLOSER. :(
-
Spiffy new car, DR TCB!
-
Congrats TCB!! Great car!
-
Well... It does appear that the seasonal flu vaccine has already been available here in NYC for a couple of weeks. There are very limited supplies of the H1N1 vaccine available for those in the "high risk" group, with a more "public" supply to be available in another 10-14 days. -And since the labs have been in high gear over the past couple of months, there could be an "updated" seasonal vaccine available in January.
OY!
*Personally, I've never had a flu shot, and I don't believe I've ever had the flu, so... <knock wood>

Almost time for DANCING WITH THE STARS.

I'm curious if you can get flu shots at pharmacies everyone in the US.
As far as I can tell, and you can go to any pharmacy you want. We don't have to watch for a clinic in our neighborhood. Next year we will likely go back to the other pharmacy. They ran our insurance card through right there. This clinic was separate from the pharmacy & was a hassle, plus we had to give them a credit card number for any charges.

I always get the seasonal flu shot. I had it once and it was terrible and I've never missed a shot since. I'll get the H1N1 when it's widely available. I also get it because I see people in jail who can't just stay home if they are sick

DR Jennifer - The bed-hopping in "Milk" was not "portrayed". It was "re-enacted".

I did not see any mention of the shot vs nasal spray. I would need to be convinced I won't react to the nasal spray the same way I reacted to the old live virus shot.
The nasal-spray flu vaccine: "a vaccine made with live, weakened flu viruses that do not cause the flu"
As for the swine flu nasal spray, I read it is not recommended if you have asthma: “earlier studies have shown that the live-virus vaccine might precipitate an asthma attack.”

Well, the lease isn't signed but it's pretty much a done deal. They are going to invest over $30,000 on the renovations - their dime not mine, but, of course, it does have an impact on the rent amount. I got a ball park today. It's reasonable considering the size of the office and the market, but it scares me.
I have decided, however, I'm going to go for it. I have never allowed myself to have a really nice office - I had a nice one at the feds, but not on my own. I've lived through little holes in the wall, mold and mildew and nice but tiny with less space than I need. I don't have kids, I don't have a spouse to take care of, I'm almost 50 and I decided I'm worth it. If I have to work a little harder to pay for it, at least I'll be working harder in a really nice place.
So, I'm excited, I'm scared and I'm really looking forard to it. Tomorrow I'll sign my life away for the next 5 years. It's going to be soo cool and I'll move into it in January!!
-
Congrats on the new space, Cilla! And Good Luck!! :D
-
Congratulations, DR Cillaliz! We must have some photos.
-
Thanks George.
-
You don't want to see it right now...it's not looking very good. I'll show before and after when they finish
-
Thanks Ginny
-
DR Cilla, you are worth it. You enjoy your work and should enjoy it even more in the nice office. Enjoy :)
Is there an estimated date of occupation?
-
Great car, TCB! Congratulations!
-
Congratulations on your new office space, Cillaliz. It sounds great.
-
Wow, good luck DR CIllaliz!
-
Thanks Jane, the first of the year. They'll release me from the last 6 months of my current lease. Today the building manager and I played with the carpet samples and the paint colors. They are putting in a new furnace (it's not on the boiler) a new air conditioner, taking out some shelves, putting in a kitchenette, painting all the walls, staining all the wood and recarpeting the entire space. It's going to be fantastic.
-
Thanks Laura and Jennifer

Study Prompts Canada to Delay Flu Shots
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB125487330214569325.html?mod=WSJ_hpp_MIDDLTopStories
This just popped up in the news, interesting timing.
-
We have for-profit vaccination clinic companies that buy up a huge lot of the vaccines; then they set up clinics in grocery stores, churches, offices, etc. I guess the doctor who owns the company writes a blanket vaccination order that will cover anyone who walks in and requests one. These folks are masters at efficiency.
If I ask my doctor's office for one, I have to make an appointment and see the doctor first. I do not want to have to bother with that.
-
So, I put a coke box and the crinkly tunnel down for the kittens to play with, and Ginny is going nuts playing.
-
re: the flu shots.
I just went to see if the CLSC where i get my free flu shots had info on their website.
They said they are doing H1N1 shots starting mid-nov and the regular flu shots in january. The article was only in french though. And there was one part that was not totally clear to me. It said they are giving everybody who wants free shots, but that certain categories were going first ( i think). But it only starts mid-nov. So hopefully it will be in the paper. i've never had any problems getting the free shots. So hopefully i can get an appointment when they start.
Here we can pay and go to a clinic. Or each suburb has their own center, where you can get them for free if you qualify.
-
Interesting article DR Jane. Yep that is what is happening here. H1N1 in nov and then regular flu shots in january.
I wonder if the US is doing the opposite giving you guys the regular flu shots now and then delaying a bit on the H1N1.
-
The news has been filled the swine flu vaccinations are arriving in Oregon this week. The nasal spray has been the first round ready for the public, yet is only for those in the healthy range. I think the supplies are still limited & those in need 1st should be the ones getting the swine vaccination. Since I'm not getting it I haven't really paid attention to where it will be offered. I know the clinic today was only doing the seasonal flu.
-
So, I put a coke box and the crinkly tunnel down for the kittens to play with, and Ginny is going nuts playing.
:) Cute. Do you think Ginny is a young cat?
-
I think Ginny is a teen-age mother.
-
I think Ginny is a teen-age mother.
That explains a lot.
-
That's what I was thinking. :)

A major online retailer has just sent me a SECOND copy of the WIZARD OF OZ set, and the invoice shows no charge. Color me majorly confused--is this a birthday present? :) I'll have to call them and find out what's up.
I'd like a belated birthday present.
You've got a Blu-ray player? I assume JMK meant he got a second Blu-ray set.

I don't watch this show. But until you posted this i thought CBS had been showing the new episodes this Fall (since it's been running here). I guess it's only been running in canada.
No, the show was never canceled. MEDIUM took its place on the schedule, but CBS is using it as a backup in case of a dud series. They don't have any at the moment.

Speaking of reminders, TCM is showing YOLANDA AND THE THIEF tomorrow morning at 10am. I know that the film has its fans, myself included, here on HHW.
I made a DVD-R a year or so ago once I realized Warners wasn't breaking any speed records bringing it to DVD.
-
Soon I will be sitting down to watch the blu-ray of SNOW WHITE.
DR Matt H - I caught your review on HTF, very nice!
Thanks you, DR td. Very sweet of you to mention it.

I agree with you, DR Jennifer regarding TAKEN, but, let's admit it, it's just a popcorn movie, one that really should not be taken too seriously.
I probably liked MILK much more than you did, finding everything about it fascinating, especially its incredible attention to period detail.
re: TAKEN. I mean obviously it wasn't that serious. But to me they made it almost laughable having him take on so many villains at once (alone).
I thought the story in MILK was fascinating. I didn't know all the details. I liked how they showed some real footage mixed in with the film. The parts i was less thrilled with was how they portrayed so many of the characters as just hopping from bed to bed.
You obviously don't know much about the time period, DR Jennifer. That was one of the most important facets of gay liberation of the period. (Of course, straight folks were doing it, too. The era of the 1970s was one of great sexual experimentation.
-
Just out of curiosity I called the pharmacy and asked about the swine flu vac. They don't know if they will be getting it (they have just about every other vaccination available) & suggested calling my doctor.
-
I got 3 more movies from the library.
3 good movies, IMHO. As for TAKEN it wouldn't have been as much fun if he had a team. ;)
Absolutely right, and it was set up what a lethal weapon he was from the very beginning.
-
Happy Birthday JMK.

HAPPIEST OF BIRTHDAYS TO DEAR JMK AND MANY, MANY MORE!!!!!!!
-
When I went downstairs, I finished THE PELICAN BRIEF. Lots of tense action and suspense, and I really like the movie, but you cannot think about it too hard or it completely falls apart. For example, for the first 90 minutes, the CIA has sent multiple assassins to kill Julia Roberts' character. Then, all of a sudden, she's allowed to walk around freely, do lots of undercover stuff. Yes, Denzel Washington's character had been clued in by this time, but they could have just killed him, too, and not just with another lame car bomb.
-
Page Ten Dance!!!
-
I'm excited, I'm scared
Well, excited AND scared...
[ an Into the Woods reference :) ]
-
Next, I pulled THE MAN WHO CAME TO DINNER off the shelf and laughed my way through it again. Even with only rudimentary direction, it's still a laugh riot. I LOVE Reginald Gardiner's Beverley Carlton.
-
Next I skimmed through today's AS THE WORLD TURNS. Luke was on (a little bit), but Lily has certainly rushed into this remarriage to Damian. Ridiculous.
-
DR Cillaliz - Will you be installing a soft-serve ice cream or frozen yogurt machine in your new office? Or maybe you could set up some deal with Blue Bunny and have them provide a "bottomless" freezer of ice cream sandwiches? ;)
CONGRATS!!!!
-
Time for me to head home.
Until later!
-
I pulled Season 4 of NCIS off the shelf and picked out an episode on disc 4. Tony was in the midst of his undercover operation against the Frog's daughter. They exchanged "I love you" during the episode (though there was an ironic kicker in the ending of the show).
-
Then I watched the new NCIS episode for the evening. It looked like they were going to start a new romance for Tony with the female cop AND a new romance for McGee with the polygraph operator. (Except, of course, I think in the real world she's be fired if she wasted resources on retesting an agent just to get in his pants.)
-
Last night we watched THREE RIVERS. I groaned too much over the medical stuff & the storyline didn't hold me enough to make up for it. DR Matt I can see why you will give it another try, we just won't be. I have to wonder, do top notch hospitals really have that kind of hi-tech software?
-
In honor of Jeffrey's birthday,
I bought myself a new car today!
What a beautiful blue car that is! AND what a swell guy you are to do that just for Jeff! :D
-
I'll have NCIS: LA to watch while I eat lunch tomorrow.
-
Here's something to pass the time. Or suck it as the case may be. (Hmm, that sounds most unseemly.)

THE MUSIC MAN comes to Blu-ray on February 2, 2010!
Happy news indeed. I just HOPE and PRAY they remastered the film before bringing it to high definition.

Oy, I need to get packing or cleaning or freezing tomatoes or something. My vacation starts tomorrow. It's going to be cold...especially at Taliesin on Saturday, mom is trying to talk us out of going, gees, I'll just take warm clothes.
-
I'm heading downstairs to go to bed. My eyes are feeling very heavy.
Good night!

I went to Fry's to get my flu shot today, and they told me that by law I need to have a doctor's prescription :( I was very frustrated but allowed them to contact my doctor for approval. I may need to wait a couple days, though, depending on his timeliness. I thought that was weird, but I don't know much about all that.

Still reading the Nureyev biography.
Did you ever read THE PRINCESS AND THE GOBLIN?
That's one of my favorites!

Let's see how I can do...this was last night. Bruno was giving his critique and told Donny he needed to show some of his dark side, or something like that....Donny ran over and grabbed Bruno and kissed him. He joked around about it. Then he said "they'll never let me back in Utah"
-
I'm listening to the original soundtrack of SONG OF NORWAY.
Is that available on CD?
-
Congratulations to Cilla on her soon to be new office!
Thanks Vixmom

Donny Osmond kisses a boy. No, really. (Video)
More News
I had to keep hitting rewind on the DVR to figure out why the heck Donny Osmond was making out with "Dancing With the Stars" judge Bruno Tonioli Monday night.
What the?
Donny playfully planted a man-kiss on Bruno's cheek after Bruno teased good-boy Donny about being a bit "airy-fairy" during his rumba with pro Kym Johnson.
But then the train jumped the tracks when Bruno the hyper Italian started enticing Donny to "turn to the dark side" - and Donny leaned Bruno flat on his back on the judges' table while mockingly preparing for a full-on kiss.
I so could not believe my eyes that I watched it again, and again, and again. Even in slow-motion. So funny, and so weird.
"I don't think they're going to let me back in Utah anymore!" Donny joked.
No, I think that Donny is still welcome there. But show co-host Samantha Harris? I'm pretty sure she's banned for life from Mormon country after what she said to Donny backstage.
When Bruno gave Donny and Kim a 7 out of 10 for their dance, Harris said to Donny: "Only a 7 from Bruno, you should have given him tongue."
Hope the Osmond kiddies weren't watching.
Watch the fun below. The weird stuff with Bruno starts at 3:48.

THE MUSIC MAN comes to Blu-ray on February 2, 2010!
Happy news indeed. I just HOPE and PRAY they remastered the film before bringing it to high definition.
I wonder if they will keep our "Making Of' documentary?
-
DR Megan, we went to a Walgreens where they said that. Try one of the walk-in health clinics at a Walgreens or a CVS where they have a nurse practitioner or look online for one of the Mollen clinics. They don't require a doctor's prescription.
You should have come to church and we would have given you a fun bandaid and a lollipop.
-
EDI is back !! Edi is back!! You have been much missed!!!
-
My doctor gave me a flu shot a couple of weeks ago - he said after 30 days I should come back for the Swine flu shot
no fun bandaid and no free lollipop - but I'm still glad I did it!
-
Dr Laura, how is little Michael today?
-
Thanks, Sam and Vixmom.
I got a kick (figurative, at least I hope so) out of TAKEN. Not a masterpiece by any stretch, but fun (and it was fun to see "Shannon" in another role).
-
Hulie is goingto join us tfor John;s Pizza onteh 24th !1 Hurrah! Any other NYC and area DR's available for a visit?

that is pretty cool - I have never held a butterfly - many years ago when the Vixter was only about 3 my inlaws came to vist and we went to the Bronx Zoo where they had a butterfly house - my mother in law has snow white hair and thr butterflies were very attracted to her - they all kept coming and landing on her head
-
OH! and thank you to Ron for the South Pacific review -very interesting!!
-
That's neat. They are also attracted to yellow.
These butterflies were wiggling to get away. I let them go as soon as they were tagged.

It truly is!!!!! :) :) :)

Well. I haven't gotten anything ready for the trip, lol. I'll have time to do it tomorrow. It's been nice to just sit and relax tonight.
-
DR Jennifer, didn't mean to avoid you question about DWS. I don't really have a favorite yet. I agree with a lot of what you said.
-
I'm listening to the original soundtrack of SONG OF NORWAY.
Is that available on CD?
Sadly, no. A kind friend made a very clean lp rip and sent me the mp3 files.
You know that I would be more than happy to share with any interested parties.
-
I've been importing some CDs in iTunes tonight. When I put the disc for If Love Were All in, the "Artist" came up as:
"Groener Twiggy"
Hmmm... But I guess that's better than "Twiggy Groener".
::)

Thank you!! I definitely can't afford to get sick this year, and being on the lightrail and at ASU, I am concerned! :-\ ... did you have any pink bandaids? I'm on this pink kick, haha.
-
LOL! We had Sesame Street, Dora the Explorer, and cars from some cartoon. And not one child got an immunization.
Walgreens charges $25. Cheaper than Tylenol, chicken soup, decongestants, etc. if you get sick.
-
Finally back. I had to deliver a big box o' CDs to a local dealer and then I had some bacon and eggs. There are not enough hours in Ye Olde Day.

I just finished about 90% of a really big return. Too tired to finish the last 10%.

Just prepared the eBlast for tomorrow night at midnight. So, that's done.
