It's been mostly lots of satisfying work this year.
...
Convention vibes for DR GINNY.
i thought I would to share this with my HHW family.

DR John G. (and others):
Exclusive (free) first listen to Jason Robert Brown's score for The Bridges of Madison County here (just scroll down):

I was just getting ready to post that myself.
Does anyone know where I can listen the JRB score to BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY?
Going tonight to hear Eric Whitacre (the American choral maven) conduct the Minnesota Orchestra and the Minneapolis Chorale in a program of his own works.
Marie Callendar's! :)
Hello, everyone.
Dan M, how are you doing?
Hello, everyone.
Dan M, how are you doing?
Thank you for asking DR Jeanne. I'm feeling pretty good and energetic today. While I've not yet gotten any official news from my oncologist, I did log in to the website that has my blood work results from this past Wednesday. From my layman's understanding, it seems as though my blood work is making some kind of comeback, very slowly. Still can't be around a lot of kids due to their propensity to be petrie dishes in Keds.
So where'd Chas go? Maybe he went to the store for some pie. Costco, perhaps.
DR George, I agree with you that you didn't actually have to change your Rx for a quarter diopter. I did so once, against my optician's advice, but I was reading lots of very fine print at the time and it did help. Much easier than using a magnifying glass and much better than straining my eyes. For me, at that time, it was the right decision. As you said, you'll now have a good spare, too.

I've decided to low-carb it for a while, so no pie for Chas, I'm afraid.
Cher is doing a concert in Indianapolis tonight....I thought she might stop by for dinner, but she must be doing a sound check or something

TOD:
WHITE COLLAR
It's been a strange week and not helped by my erratic sleeping patterns--if you can call it a pattern at all. At times I am desperate for sleep. I go to bed early, but don't fall asleep until 1:30 am. Other nights I fall asleep right away, but wake up at 5 am, knowing full well I won't be able to go back to sleep. If it wasn't for my favorite little Rescue Sleep product I question whether I'd sleep at all. The problem is partly noise and partly me. Sigh.
Well at least they can't say that we didn't get to page 6 last night.
( Thank you, DR George! ;D )

I am in Springfield, OH, about an hour from home for the AAUW Ohio state convention. Middletown members staffed the registration room from 4-8 today. Anita, Nita, and I are here until Sunday for the entire conference and Barb, Debbie, Lois, and Sharon came up today just to help with registration.
I have been officially diagnosed with bronchitis
Let's see.....Singdaw have you ever been to the Fairmont Opera House?
Can't argue with A CEREMONY OF CAROLS, either.
It could very well be, DR Cillaliz.
Howard died a year and a half ago, but Joan is still going strong. She also runs the Columbia Community Concerts series there in Fairmont.
And what is your excuse today?
Ah SandTrap, you don't often find a list that fits you so perfectly.
......my work is done here

It certainly is, DR Cillaliz - done here, and done well. :)
The choral/orchestral concert was fabulous.
Here is Eric Whitacre, the most-performed American choral composer at the moment:

Finished with my viewing. Heard some VERY interesting news this evening regarding an autograph show.
DR Dan M - I'm sure you'll get more information from your doctor. But a slow movement in the right direction is still good news, right? Even if it isn't fast enough for your liking.
Victory in the small things. I'm glad to hear it, anyway.

DR Laura, as I drove through the lakes area today and saw all the birds I thought of you
Today is my mom's 87th birthday. I think this photo says it all

Thanks for the support! My white blood cells did double since the last test 2 weeks ago, so that (hopefully) means the bone marrow is working again. I've gone through very aggressive treatments that sent all my blood markers practically to zero. So you are absolutely right. It's good for me to hear from you. I guess I do get impatient and want to forget that I am still recuperating.
GO AWAY BRONCHITIS VIBES TO VIXMOM
Singdaw finished it - I just saw his review on Amazon. Follow the link and scroll down - LOVED it.
