Well, you've read the notes, the notes were the brainiest notes, and now it is time for you to post until the brainiest cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: SUFFRAGE!
-
Wow, first after BK?
-
And now. to go get on line to vote!
-
So happy there was a good audience and of course that there was a terrific show for BK last night!!!
-
Good morning, all! I will shortly walk over to the polls and vote.
-
Voting vibes for all.
Feel better vibes for DR GINNY.
-
Good news about the show last night! Congrats to MR BK & Co.
-
Good morning.
-
So glad to hear that The Brain went well. I really enjoyed the show when I saw it ten years ago.
-
I will go vote shortly. The polls open in a half hour. I want to get done and OUT as quickly as possible.
-
Mission accomplished. On my way out the workers gave me this sticker. I stole Rob Berman's photo,
-
Feel better, Ginny!
-
Got on the voting line at 5:50, the polls were ready for us by about 6:05. The line looked twisted around and horrendous, but in the voting area, it went very efficinently and to my surprise, I'm pretty sure we were done voting by 6:20.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Congratulations to BK on a most brainy BRAIN!
-
Time to shower and get out to vote. I held off to avoid the early morning before-work crowds. Of course I have no idea how effective that really is. Fortunately, my polling place is closer than it used to be, at a school just over a mile down the road.

Today may be Election Day, but it is also the birthday of Bram Stoker, author of DRACULA.
The fact that both events are falling on the same day is pure coincidence and I'm almost sure that the one event does not foreshadow in a negative way the other. (Fingers crossed)
However, Stoker's birthday does give me a perfect opportunity to plug my book, DRACULA MEETS JACK THE RIPPER & Other Revisionist Histories.
I'm very proud of this volume of short stories, and if you haven't read it yet, it is available on Amazon in both paperback and Kindle editions, as well as an audio version, brilliantly read by Fred Frees.

Congrats to BK on the successful BRAIN production. Love the show; play the CD often.
-
Druxy is near 7000. That seems like a very lucky millstone!

Happy birthday, Bram! Wishes for some delicious birthday stake!

"The Brain from Planet X" was wonderful last night! It was just as funny as I remembered it, and yes, the audience roared for much of it (including Richard Sherman who was sitting behind me). Poor Mark, is the shyest man on the planet and really can't stand to have anyone looking at him or talking to him, so he was absolutely the worst person to be pulled up on stage for the brain tap, but he was a huge sport. When asked, "What's the Earth's greatest achievement?" he answered with "This show." And when asked where he went to college, he answered "LACC". He never went to LACC, but that's just how fast and clever a thinker he is. Anyway, the cast was wonderful - it was so nice to hear and see Alet Taylor again after so many years. And of the three General Mills I've seen, this General Mills was my favorite. The whole show was a grand success.
-
Thanks for that report, Amy!
-
Tuesday morning greetings!
Thank you to DRs Jane, Elmore, ChasSmith, Vixmom, George, JRand, and FJL for the tummy vibes. Better today, but still a little shaky.
I have some things to deliver to the AAUW Holiday Bazaar venue and then I'm coming home to make caramel corn to sell at that event Friday and Saturday. Having voted on October 20, it seems odd not going to the polls today.
-
Congratulations to BK and the Brain company! DR Amy and I now have something in common - we're both married to men who've been "Brain-tapped." Several nights after we saw The Brain in NYC, we were waiting to go in to see The Last Starfighter and someone recognized Richard from his moment in the spotlight.
-
Good evening, all.
-
I made sure to vote before I left. Glad to see all the folks here and elsewhere taking today seriously.
-
Got to go swimming in the Mediterranean today for the first time since high school. What fun. The water was cold but it felt good after a while.
I wasn't buying it st first but a friend from Switzerland, Manuela, kept telling me it was okay.
Manuela: It's refreshing!
Me: Gin is refreshing. This is just cold.
-
Glad to hear the Brain was a blast. Hope to see a production one of these days.
-
Thanks, Amy, for the notes on Mark's part.
-
Two!

Good Morning
-
The little one has been dropped off at the vet to be neutered and the big one will go to camp as scheduled today without his little bro.
I'll vote later after work and tonight will head to San Jose to see the national tour of The Sound of Music - which I saw this summer with my cousin Jeremy as Fredrich. He has since grown out the role and has moved on, but while I was fortunate to see him while I was visiting Chicago last June. It's a good tour, very well directed, etc. I'm looking forward to seeing it again. Jack O'Brian stayed pretty true to the original with some tweaks in the wedding scene, and a different set of lyrics for "Something Good" - I'm not sure where they came from. My point is, he didn't try and put the movie on stage which I was thankful for.
I hope the tour has held up since June!!

HHW GET-TOGETHER ALERT
I know it's early to plan for April - but I'm trying to schedule a day for an HHW NYC get-together while Matthew is in town in April (assuming nothing changes there.)
The possible dates are Tuesday April 18 or Wednesday April 19 if folks who can get to Manhattan (most likely midtown, but if no one minds, HHW-ers seems to really like Artie's Deli as a place to eat on the upper West side) on a weekday or really early weeknight can very tentatively plan.
-
I am home from City Center. Joshie scanned some music for me, we dished, and I came home. He's doing Titanic for the Signature Theatre, and he needs time to work on the orchestration with my distracting him. Rob Berman stopped by on his way to auditions, so that was fun.
-

That sounds pretty good. I saw someone say they voted early (on the weekend) and it was 3+ hours. Sorry but to me that is ridiculous. I have never waited more than 5 minutes to vote. Obviously I would wait if I had to. But that sounds way too long.

Those dates in April should hopefully be fine for me. The middle of the week, in fact, is a good thing around then.
-
The parking lot at the school where I vote was filled way beyond capacity. I parked on the street (it's all residential) a block away and walked. I was in and out of the school itself in twenty minutes.
I've always avoided the busy times of day, every place I've lived, so I do wonder what the jernt is like at the busy times!
-
I just know she voted for Hillary!

This is very exciting. Thanks, DR FJL for organizing!!

I'm up, I'm up - was up at eight for about an hour, then fell back asleep. I probably got seven hours of sleep - was surprised I could sleep at all, frankly.
-

Good vibes for the little one!
-
Mark was a good sport - he actually was the only male sitting that we could get to easily, unless I took the guy in front of him and while I knew the guy in front of him who would probably have been okay, he's a pro comedy writer and it's not as funny when people try to BE funny - Mark was the perfect mark.

I like living in a state that has mail in voting. Sometimes lines do happen, however, this election is expected to have more voters than usual.

Since Washington state is by mail-in ballot only, there's no waiting in line anymore.

I like it when there are more voters than usual.
If more than 100,000,000 votes are cast, that will be extraordinary.
-
Although I voted three weeks ago by absentee ballot, I am still jiggy with all my choices.
I voted my heart, my conscience and retained my self-respect.
That all I can do.

It will be odd to go to bed tonight before the polls over there close.
I hope I can sleep. The suspense is eating Carol up.
-
Me, I'd just like to get another 20 pages or so of the latest volume of Proust read. That way I'd be a tenth of the way into it. That's usually a good start for me on a book.
This one is 600 pages long.
-
Good night, all.
-
DR JohnG: When you wake up, we will have a new President-elect (I hope).
-
My first 2016 holiday caramel corn is in the oven and the aroma is driving the upstairs Palmers crazy. Mary Linda is telecommuting today and Rob has the day off. They went to vote about an hour ago.

Is this The Guermantes Way?
I'd better get back into it, because after I finally got through that volume I put it down "for a while"... um, several years ago.
-

We'll be over in ten minutes, LOL!
-
That would be nice, DR FJL!
-
Hello, everyone.
-
So glad that last night's BRAIN went well.
-
Hello, Jeanne.
-
I took my car to the car wash today, hoping that everyone would be busy voting. There was hardly anyone there. On slow days they now have special deals on wax and detail services. My car was overdue to be waxed, so I took advantage of it. My neighbor will undoubtedly notice. "Yes, I take such good care of my car!" I'll reply.
-
Hi, Ron.
-
tummy vibes to DR Ginny.
-
Thank you, DR Jeanne. So far, so good today...
-
I voted by mail last week. The only disadvantage is that you have to make up your mind on the DOZENS of ballot measures so you can drop it in the mail a week ahead of time. I spent three hours (!) reading the legislative analyses, and even then wasn't sure of some.
-
I usually love to read mysteries and most of the TV I watch is drama, often rather gritty drama. I just haven't been up to any of that lately. Fall-out from the election? I suspect so. There has been so much that just turns my stomach.
DR Ginny, is your stomach distress election-related?
-
Had a bacon cheeseburger for my meal o' the day, picked up a couple of packages, and am watching Tom Sawyer.
-
Bruce, you've mentioned the Tom Sawyer thing a few times, but I don't think you've given us any details. What is it exactly?
-
TCB, I'm pleased that your book is coming along so well.
-
TTFN.
-
...
DR Ginny, is your stomach distress election-related?
That has crossed my mind, DR Jeanne.
-
Congrats on the success of "Brain," BK!
-
It's good to hear you're having a good time, DR JohnG!
-
DR Jennifer to schools & businesses close on election day?
Usually schools do because that is where people vote.
-
There was no wait to vote. I heard a lot of people voted before Election Day. Virginia doesn't have "early voting," per se, but there a lot of categories of approved absentee voting.
-
Celeste Holm in TOM SAWYER
http://www.movpins.com/dHQwMDcwODE0/tom-sawyer-(1973)/still-1554098944
reminds me more than a bit of Hillary Clinton, no political reference intended.

Oregon is also by mail. In fact it was the first state to do elections exclusively by mail.

Craig did not work today. I didn't think to ask if people voted at his school.
-
I voted at 8 this morning it was much more crowded than I am used to at thus time JC god day but I was still out in 15 minutes
-
Bruce, congratulations on the Brain concert being a rousing success.

I've tried a bit, but remember I have 3 other tasters on hand. They all approve!
-
Well, let's hope that the elections go off without much (if any) more controversy.
-
And on that note (E-flat), I'm leaving work now to go to a Theater Artists Olympia board meeting. I don't have to be at rehearsals tonight, so I'll come home, watch some TV, and probably work on my lines...which I really need to do. ::)
Be back later!

It was a glorious day. I was comfortable walking in jeans, a t-shirt, and only for awhile a sweatshirt. Fortunately I was able to go for a short 45 minute walk this morning on this beautiful day, and again for a long walk in the afternoon. In-between we met a friend in Portland for lunch.
-
Watching the election coverage. I feel sick to my stomach
-
Then stop watching ;)
-
Facebook is out of control this evening.
-
All I'm gonna say is that everything you're seeing is controlled by an out-of-control media who want to cause everyone to panic to keep those ratings high. It will be what it will be, but they will not allow this to be called until they wring the last ounce of ratings blood from it.
