Well, you've read the notes, the notes were both baffled and baffling, and now it is time for you to post until the baffled baffling cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: PLOCE!
-
The second after I posted the word of the day the damn Internet went down. It's back up now. I do love how Spectrum doesn't have a clew when they're having issues.
-
First post after my cat threw up again. :-\
-
I got the first one cleaned up, then I went to the bathroom, and then she did it again. She seems to have settled down now, so hopefully she's done.
-
Yeah, but you only post AFTER she throws up. If you post BEFORE she won't throw up - she told me.
-
Yeah, but you only post AFTER she throws up. If you post BEFORE she won't throw up - she told me.
I only posted AFTER she threw up because she threw up AS I was typing my post and that prevented me from completing my post that I would've posted BEFORE she threw up, but she beat me to it.
-
What else can I do??
-
And now, I'm off to sleep.
Have a good day, all!
-
Listening to music, although I should probably be going to bed soon.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept very very very poorly. I suspect the cats and I will spend some part of the day lounging together.
-
I remember a small part of dream: I was working in a 19th century house for a school, I think. I came in the front door, and a wall of the room to my left was on fire while a colleague and his wife were drunk and fighting. I put my things down on the stairs, entered the room, picked up this large decanter of wine they were drinking from and threw the wine on the fire.
-
DR George, I think the cat will be fien now that it's thrown up.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Anti-puking vibes for all the kitties out there. And the rest of us, too.
-
Good morning to all. I hope everyone has a great weekend.
-
Nice story on the history of Little Shop and the upcoming production with Lee Wilkof (and yes, some praise for his No Pay, Nudity).

RE: a Broadway Funny Girl revival starring Lady Gaga.
I just googled it. Apparently Rosie O"Donnell announced this. I wonder if it's true.

More believable than the talk of a film version of Cats.
-
Weird dreams lately, largely of work or dance, which figures, since they're the only two things I'm doing lately.
-
But I finally think i figured out what's wrong with a project I'm analyzing for work. And that works for me.
-
Good morning, all.

Just about nothing going on in the CD or Blu-ray department this week.
Except that we did watch THE CHANGELING a few nights ago, and listened to the commentary with director Peter Medak. I never saw the movie when it was released (I couldn’t even remember knowing about it then), and saw it for my first and only time (till now) on DVD about ten years ago. Oddly, I thought it was only so-so then, which was very likely due to a lackluster presentation. This new release has completely changed my mind. I think it’s excellent, and I had a great time listening to Medak and his producer talk about this and other films.
I got the Second Sight edition from the UK. It’s also available here from Severin.
-
Just to jump aboard the bandwagon, I had the vomiting cat thing going on night before last.
-
Tonight we’re going to see Keir Dullea host the opening night of a month long run of the now-notorious 70mm showings of ‘2001’ at the IMAX in Norwalk. While this isn’t the optimum way to see the film, for several reasons, it should actually be a most enjoyable evening all around. And it will be the first time for friend Kristi and others to see it in anything remotely like the way it was meant to be seen. That alone makes it worthwhile.
-
Today, more practice on “Addams” to keep it in my fingers for next week.
-
Friday......

Very nice, DR Jrand68.
Growing up in Fort Lauderdale, someone we knew was moving or something and we adopted their parakeet named "Peepit", and he remained a family member for all of his years. He was great to have around, but my one regret was that his former owner had gotten him used to having a little mirror thingy in the cage, and he was addicted to sitting next to it all day pecking and chirping at his image. As I recall, we were told that that would pretty much cancel out any "speech" learning ability of a bird, although I guess parakeets aren't the real talkers anyway. But I did grow to love birds, and it was great years later to get to know and occasionally babysit a friend's parrots in California.

Hoping to see this if I can get a decent seat.
-
Nice bird story DR CHAS SMITH.
Birdy Barnum looks at the mirror now and then.....but ignores it most of the time.
-
Good morning.

The feline family members decided it was breakfast time. At 3:30 a.m.

I hope you find you have indeed solved the problem.

Are they getting along?
-
Hi pretty Birdy Barnum.
-
Nice bird, DR JRand68!
-
OMG. This Addams Family I’m subbing next week? The band is two keyboards, bass, drums, and one reed. And no programming, just piano all the way. This will REALLY be a hoot. One for the ages.
-
And no cuts in the dances or anything. I wonder what it’s going to look like. AND sound like. Perhaps I will gather some evidence.
-
The mirror guys are now 45 minutes late >:(
-
The mirror guys are here. Fingers crossed it fits this time. They are also nervous and don't want to have to do it again.
-
We have a mirror. I forgot the light fixture needs to go back up before we are done. I doubt that will happen until next week.
-
Baby steps DR JANE.
-
Addams Family vibes for DR CHAS SMITH.
Thanks DR JANE & DR ELMORE.....he knows he is IT!
-
At last I am having my port removed. It has been in since August, 2017.
No longer needed for Chemo or other regular blood testing, etc. Monday is the day.

Great photos, JRand. Great story, ChasSmith. I need to get JB a mirror.

That must be a blessed relief for you. Best wishes for a swift and painless removal.
-
I'm up, I'm up - almost eight hours of sleep.
-
And more weird dreams.
-
The Lady Gaga Funny Girl is total BS.
-
The feline family members decided it was breakfast time. At 3:30 a.m.
Hunger knows no clock.
-
This weekend, if I have a free moment, might include a viewing of Carnal Knowledge.
-
DR George, I think the cat will be fien now that it's thrown up.
I think so, too. She seemed fine and this morning, I saw that she had eaten some food during the night. :)
-
Anti-puking vibes for all the kitties out there. And the rest of us, too.
~~~Ditto and Ditto!!~~~
RE: a Broadway Funny Girl revival starring Lady Gaga.
More believable than the talk of a film version of Cats.
And much more preferred than another film version of Cats. ::)
;)
You mean it's not called "Cardinal Knowledge"? I guess Edith was wrong. :-\
Well, this is really positive news!
-
Congratulations, DR Jrand68!
-
Baby steps DR JANE.
The story of my life lately ;D
-
I just found out that my physical therapy appointments will only be half an hour each time. I was expecting closer to an hour.
Thanks.
Right now it's 60°F. Yesterday it was 35°F. This is crazy!
-
No one has gotten their Arlen CD?
-
Happy National Champagne Day!
-
No one has gotten their Arlen CD?
Arlen and Porgy are here! Just took them out of the mailbox. Thank you!
And here I am, on my way out for the evening with nothing to play them on. Which is just as well, because these deserve the Big Speakers.
-
I'm listening to the original Broadway cast recording to Frozen (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0765QZ1LW/). What I didn't realize (until now) is that with Prime, I can stream it (https://music.amazon.com/albums/B07CV8QF5J) without having to buy it! :)
I was going to ask about your weather. I have a friend traveling in Quebec who showed a photo of snow and figured your weather would be better than there.
-
DR Jennifer, are your temps usually nice at the end of May? Chances are we will be there to celebrate our 50th anniversary. We cancelled our expedition cruise in Australia due to my elbow.
-
We went out to dinner tonight and the bar tender was extremely generous with our drinks. I truly enjoyed it as my pain level has been cut in half :)
-
I have been upping the pain level in my elbow stretches. Tonight I thought maybe I had overdone it. When the bar tender was shockingly generous with my glass of Woodford Reserve I went ahead and drank it all. Not only was it delicious, I feel soooo much better.
Well, there's your answer, Jane: CHUG IT! CHUG IT!! CHUG IT!!!!!!!!!!!
-
:))
-
Starting to watch Cardinal Knowledge. It doesn't seem to be about birds, except maybe chicks.
-
I have never seen this before.
-
Well, I'm off. I need to run a couple of prop errands before I go home, so I shall.
Be back later.
-
Jeanne, have you watched the second season of 800 Words? Did it get any better? The library has got season 3.
-
DR Jane, booze is the answer.
-
DR Jane, booze is the answer.
Regardless of the question.
-
Four!
-
I wish I could say I was enjoying Carnal Knowledge, but it's a little too still topical. Nicholson is too entitled and is borderline violent. Ann-Margaret, gorgeous, is whiny.
-
I think it's almost time for bed.
-
I'm fading fast.
-
Good night, all.
I conducted two closings this evening at a borrowers home then headed back to the office to finish stuff that had to be completed tonight
-
Then I started getting a series of texts from various people with whom I worked at the previous law firm (none of us work there anymore)
-
The woman I shared my office with for years died Wednesday from complications with pneumonia
-
I am in shock.
-
She was an amazing woman, she always was among and laughing and through much adversity
-
Her first husband beat her
-
She finally got awSy and ended up with a good man and she got cancer
-
DR Vixmom I am sorry for your sad news.
-
She fought it off and Married the good man
-
Then the cance came back and she fought it off agin
-
And pneumonia carried her off....after all that.
-
She was much loved and I am sure there will be a big turnout for her wake on Wednsday
-
Thank you for the Birdy Barnum pictures,jack
-
He is indeed a fine feathered friend
-
I must get some skeep
-
Or alternately, some sleep
-
I have a very busy day ahead of me , tomorrow is my friends husbands ordination and I must go polish brass and wood and make sure everything is shining and gleaming for this amazing moment in their lives
-
Then the actual ordination followed by a reception with dinnet
-
Or perhaps dinner
-
And somewhere thus weekend I must get back to the office toco plate one more thing that must be done
-
And between2-5 Vixdad and I are attending a tasting party. At a friends church
-
Not really sure what it's about but these friends come support our chili contest every year do I want to return the favor
-
I wonder if anyone one that powerful jackpot yet.
-
I hope it was me
-
Can't keep my eyes open plus it's been tomorrow for some time now
-
Goodngght
-
Good evening.
-
That was great. Not only was vixmom posting tonight, but she was providing the translations underneath.
-
Today I had my one week follow-up to the laser treatment.
-
The pressure was down in the treated eye.
-
Now in November, I go back for the same treatment on the right eye.
-
I was told that I would only see the technician, but at the end, the hunky doctor came in and gave me his hand to get back to my scooter.
-
Lucky! My eye doctor is older than me, fat and hairy.
-
Great bird photos!
-
The Lady Gaga Funny Girl is total BS.
It was also mentioned in Entertainment Weekly.
-
Great news, Jrand!
-
I worked on my lines today. Narration is tough, because you have no one else to bounce the next change in topic.
-
Oh well, I won’t screw anyone else up if he mess up the lines.
-
Except for the Stage Manager and the Lighting Operator.
-
I guess I should go take my prescriptions and get ready for bed.
-
Goodnight.
-
The woman I shared my office with for years died Wednesday from complications with pneumonia
Oh, no! My condolences to you and her family. :(
-
The pressure was down in the treated eye.
Great news, Tom! :D
Good night, Tom.
