A HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, DR SINGDAW!!!
Has a date for a HHW NYC meet been established?
Weird dream last night. I somehow was a consultant to the pop rock group America. They were planning a comeback album of cover tunes from their heyday. I suggested Suite: Judy Blue Eyes and Woodstock. They liked both songs but did not like Crosby, Stills and Nash as people.

Were you riding through the desert on a horse with no name?
I am planning on ordering a filet mignon topped with blue cheese.

Vibes for the property sale for DR ELMORE.
In high school we moved on to other things.

Have you heard anything about your Access-A-Ride renewal status?

Sounds wonderful. Wish I could eat blue cheese. It aggravates my mold allergies something wicked.
tonight I have to go sell tickets and popcorn for The Miracle Worker and then clean the theeder.
I would rather stay home and drink wine.....
We accepted the offer. Closing sometime between 9/19 and 9/23.
DR Singdaw,
Just got a promotional email from Footlight Records highlighting BK's "Titanic" compilation. I thought that was out of print? Maybe these are CD-Rs?
DR Singdaw,
Thanks so much, DR Jane!!!!
Mike Lindell, the pillow guy, at the Hardee's drive-in:
I'll have a diet coke and a subpoena, please.
Happy Birthday, DR Singdaw!
I just blew an entire morning going down a completely unplanned rabbit hole.
So often, it only takes one tiny insignificant question popping into one’s head. You think, yeah, as long as I'm sitting here I’ll just take a minute and see if I can look that up ... and that’s it. I ended up with some other good finds, while the original thing remains a mystery. And it really is insignificant, since I was never in the place or knew anyone who was. I just have a memory of seeing it many times in passing, and I'm curious about it.
But ... guess what! It's ASK BK DAY, that's what! :)
So ...
BK, there was something that looked like a nice restaurant on the north side of Wilshire between Robertson and La Cienega. When I lived on Clark Dr. in the late 1970s I could walk to Dolores or the Fine Arts, and I was always struck by its subtle low-lit design. I'm sure I saw its name then, but the place wasn't anything flashy, with no big signage or anything. Does that make any sense at all?
Here's the signage.
I think I missed my calling as a digital artiste.
It might even be good if the burger was an actual bean burger.

The refrieds, to be real, must have lard in them.
Happy Birthday to DR singdaw!
I had to look up the Wah Watusi. And if I have to watch it, so do you:

Ditto!
It put me in mind of other bad reviews. Here's Steward Klein's review of the 1981 floperoo, Marlowe:

My brother Randy just called. The buyer who wanted the property has offered us a considerably less sum than before for the property, and I think we will take it, just to get all this madness off our back for good. Our rationale is that if we put it up fort auction, we might end up with comnsiderably less than they are offering. We could also end up with considerably more, but I think we need to stop gambling and just unload it.
I liked this:

Because some time last night Birdy Barnum joined the choir invisible.
We accepted the offer. Closing sometime between 9/19 and 9/23.
OMG! Annabelle actually ate dinner with Thatch and Stella. This was a welcome surprise.
I wonder if they eat hot tots in the Hottentot Holland Mountains.
Here’s a bean burger, SA style.

I guess I don’t understand, Elmore, why the city would allow him to buy it at this lower price?
Here's the signage.
I remember Andre's.

Isn’t that what it is?

No, John said this about the San Antonio bean burger:
A bean burger is a very different animal in San Antonio. Here it’s a regular burger topped with refried beans, Fritos, slivers of jalapeño (optional), onions and Cheez Whiz. I like it with salsa.
