Statues and Stories from Piazza.

Another nice acceptance speech just before it....but as DRJOSE said - get a tie!

But, it's the best Tony's in years.  One hour to go.

I'm having a great time.  So far, my only disappointment is that Larry Hochman didn't win for SPAMALOT.  There are sme beautiful sounds in the scoring for LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA, but I feel it all sounds very similar:  lots of harp and strings.  The SPAMALOT orchestration catches all the different types of song parody and is funny in itself.

It really is a pretty good broadcast, MR BK.  With a couple of exceptions.

I'm looking forward to everything.

Piazza's orchestrators should have thanked Ravel, especially the Introduction and Allegro.

Perhaps, but she didn't embarass herself.

It's a worthless program, MR BK....except to hear Christina talk about how when she broke her foot, ticket sales in Chicao fell to zero.

True, DRELMORE....but with so many good dancer-actresses out there, sometimes I just wonder why.   ;)

She did look pretty and gave it a good shot.

Channel 99 in Olympia...and yup, it's just like all the other red carpet shows.

I'm trying to figure out whether to go grab some food to bring home, so I can nibble during the broadcast.  I've only eaten two eggs and bacon today.

I just don't think "she didn't embarrass herself" is worthy of acceptance at this level.

I'll be back.  I have to print a couple of pictures at my sister's house next door (she has a much better printer than I do).

DRJRand54, I've always liked Miss Applegate so I wish her well, but this revival, from the announcement of Marisa Tomei (???) to now has been quite a Weisler circus.  Miss Applegate is the reason this show got to Broadway, I do believe, and I think it's got a certain eau de vanite about, in that it was closed when she broke her foot and  I suspect she's in the show now because it's  got a lot of her money in the production.  If so, good for her! She wanted to be in a Broadway musical, and dammit, she doesn't embarass herself.  If I had the money, I'd buy myself a show to orchestrate because I think I'd do a good job, too.  Lauren Bacall won a Tony and she had much less charisma and no charm in WOMAN OF THE YEAR.
