What do I want for Christmas? Plain and simple, simple and plain (a revised
Baker's Wife reference): Money (a
Cabaret reference). I have a couple of credit cards that I'm paying off and I just want that to go more quickly. Otherwise, gift certificates for CD or DVD places...actual stores or on-line would be fine.
One year, when I was in college (I think), the only things I wanted for Christmas were underwear and a new watchband. That's it. I didn't really need anything else. What did they get me? No underwear and no watchband, that's for sure.

What I did get was a Casio keyboard. It
was pretty cool. It had about 70 keys and it had almost a hundred different "voices" but I didn't really need it at all. Eventually I was happy that I had it, but not at first. I had to buy my own underwear and watchband.
So money is always a good thing to get. It's also the easiest.
Tonight, I have to house-sit my sister's house, so I'm off. She, my niece and my sister's boyfriend (they've been dating for over 14 years!) drove down to Portland, Oregon to see Shania Twain in concert. My sister has a cat and a dog and the dog is not feeling well. So, I must doggy-sit as well as house-sit.
