Chris Noth-Anabella Sciorra made a very good, unique team on L&O: CRIMINAL INTENT. I will enjoy the laternating detective teams now on CI each week.

At lunch, my friend John said that I would enjoy ROME as there was something for everyone on last night's show.

I saw what he meant since there was a long, lingering shot of full male nudity (and boy, do I mean FULL), but the scheming around in general among the women in particular has been a little lackluster. Looks like next week's show will be more action filled along with the scheming. I really prefer a mixture of both.

There is a great review of "Harvey Schmidt plays Jones and Schmidt" on Playbill.Com today... even though the critic refered to BK's old series of CDs as "Lost in Broadway".  However they don't give the URL so people can order it.  However it's the kind of review that makes people want to run out and buy it (if they don't already have it).

I love the last paragraph, where the reviewer mentions Harvey's squeaky chair:

"Harvey Schmidt plays Jones and Schmidt" gives the impression that you are sitting in Harvey's living room, with a glass of something cool to drink, as the composer loses himself in the songs he most enjoys playing. I feel it necessary to point out that Harvey's piano bench squeaks, and how; if he had been in a recording studio, someone no doubt would have said hold on and brought in another chair. But "Harvey Schmidt plays Jones and Schmidt" was simply a home recording intended for friends. The squeaking piano bench — and maybe a pet bird squawking?, somewhere in Harvey's Texas home — add to the charm of this extra-special birthday album.

Well, I'm headed downstairs now for some chores and to read the last small sized TV GUIDE in its history (mag moves to standard size next week).

Dear Readers, I'd like to introduce you to my cousin's "new" twin babies. They're about 5 months old and are absolutely two of the most beautiful babies I've ever seen. Not that I'm biased or anything...

Here are Lindsey and Jenna.  ;D

No time to catch up in the posts, I'm here!!! I actually got the internet to work but it wasn't easy. I'm off to pick up my Sweeney Todd ticket and head to Barrymore's.

Was that you in the sling, or did we meet at the Meatrack later?

No slings or arrows for me.  I do know that I met Felipe Rose at The Anvil and drank with Tony Azito at Clyde's . . .

Just finished the memo I had to write for work; actually worked a little past sundown, but that's my own fault.  Got distracted by other things along the way.

Should I race over to Barrymore's or is that sort of silly just to spend ten minutes there?

I've never been to Splash.  I assume they do the sort of worshipping there where they throw the sins in the water, that's why it's called Splash, right?  Tashlich or something that sounds like it?

Technically, my rabbi would say it's wrong to be on the computer on the holiday.  But they never had computers in the days of the Great Temple, so how could the rules of then apply to computers?

At the very least, we can blame it on our youth.  Lordy!  I hope you weren't one of those nameless men I chanced to meet.

We could also discuss The Ice Palace, Clyde's, The Anvil. . . :o

Ahhh, The Anvil!  I remember it fondly!

I don't know why, but this computer is having serious issues with this here site today.  The first page of posts is just fine, but all the rest are in EXTREME widescreen.  It appears that it's freaking out because of Der Brucer's signature pic, which was showing just fine and dandy yesterday.  I'm perplexed.  Perhaps I'll see how things look on Explorer, rather than Safari.

What has happened to this site during the daytime hours?

Just because I can no longer post from work, does that mean that everyone's mind has left the gutter???

I can't believe that Mr. Barnum offered Jose a two-hour ride on a ferry, and NO ONE had a single comment???[/size]

I knew there was an ulterior motive to Skip saying why not ask the group over on Wednesday.  He's now asked me to (shudder) help with cleaning the apartment.  :)
