Well, since I had the day off and it is a beautiful day I decided to clean out the eaves again and do some outdoor stuff. I hate always having to borrow a ladder, so I bought one of those neat ladders you see advertised that can be folded this way and that into about 8 different ladders. Well they don't tell you in the commercial how much it hurts when you crush your finger in the ladder as you are unfolding it.

I think it might be broken, but the joints are working fine and I can still use it, so I'm pretty much ignoring it right now. I did get the eaves cleaned and all the bushes pruned. But it does hurt.

Thanks for the input. I am enamored with the Seattle area because of its preponderance of gambling casinos. "Why not Nevada?" is a long story. I recently checked out areas like Everett, Tukwilah, Renton, Tacoma, but did not go as far south as Olympia. I'm also interested in connecting with the theatrical community in Seattle, so the closer the better.

Our E&T DRJoey is flying into New York early on Monday for some presentation/reading of A TALE OF TWO CITIES, which has finally found a director to fill David Bell's shoes. It's a quickie trip in and out the same day. Please send him good travel and internship vibes on his trek.

Hopefully, I'll get to have lunch with him, perhaps in midtown, depending on how the schedule works out.

Lol, no I don't think that way. I've never been a lawyer who was into fighting for money, I fight for freedom (flags flying and patriotic music playing softly in the background).

Besides, what I did was plain stupidity. If you see to pieces of metal about to crash together and your finger is in the way, you should probably move your finger!

I decided to watch some of the X FILES which I hadn't seen, so I put in some discs from Season Nine and found out that Burt Reynolds is GOD! Seriously, he's GOD in an episode which also features ELLEN GREENE! Another musical theater person appeared in another episode, MICHAEL MCKEAN returned to the files in a very sad episode. . .it's always nice to see Gillian Anderson, but the 9th season is quite bizarre, even featuring an episode called "Jump the Shark."

MattH, in response to your question about Alias -ALIAS possible spoiler-

I thought when she dropped her lipstick it was to help show how nervous/inexperienced/easily flappable this new girl is. And then how she was able to "improvise" like Sydney had done the night before. I don't care for her (Rachel) very much. Sydney was never so wimpy and whiney and unsure of herself. When she was on a mission, she always had her game face on and then would go home and unwind with a glass of wine. I don't feel any kind of connection to this new character and am really only watching this season to see how it turns out.

As a side note, I was excited to see Amy Acker from Angel on the show.

Now I have to tell you what DR Elmore did to me. He sent me an e-mail, telling me about the latest Michael Ball DVD. I also got an email from DeepDiscountDVD with the discount.

Add one and two and off to the DDDVD website I went. They did indeed offer to Michael Ball DVD at a much lower price. So I clicked "Buy".

Then (since it was a sale) I looked for Christmas In Connecticut . I clicked "Buy" (do you sense a pattern here?)

I thought I'd look at Lost. It was on sale and with the discount.......... I clicked "Buy".

I continued to look and before I could stop myself, I clicked "Buy" to the tune of a hundred dollars!

Well, at least I'll have something to watch during the cold winter months. $:-\$

Speaking of Lost , can somebody PLEASE tell me what the heck Walt is saying??? I backed Tivo up about ten times and just could NOT catch what he was saying. I didn't understand what he said the first time around either. Speak up, kid!

DR Danise, last time Walt made an appearance, his garbled words were actually him speaking backwards. The last time he said something along the lines of "Don't push button. Button bad..." I haven't heard yet what he said this time.

I went shopping for a new dog house today. Bear has taken to sleeping outside for some reason and that kicks poor Brandi out of the dog house.

Soooo, I went to Walmart and bought a large Dogloo. I thought it would be like the one I have.

Well, when I got it home, it was it three pieces and when I tried to put it together some of them just wouldn't lock. I am not happy with it at all. I will take it back tomorrow and go to PetCo to buy the right kind of DogLoo--the molded one piece type. I guess I should have known from the price that it wasn't the same.

I've watched my tape of last night's "Smallville" and "Everwood."

"Smallville" just gets better and darker and edgier all the time. I can't wait to see where it all goes. It's not the traditional view of young Clark growing up in Smallville, by any stretch of the imagination, but it's certainly entertaining and interesting and thoughtful and thought-provoking. The writers really know their subject and are stirring the pot in very imaginative ways.

"Everwood" has been a favorite since its debut three years ago. I'm a Treat Williams fan and it was a delight to discover this show and the other fine actors who people it. Yes, it deals with teen angst and is targeted to that audience, but the adults hold their own and their adult problems/issues are very much a part of the learning curve of the teens. Tom Amandes as Dr. Abbott is a wonderful actor and his character is amazing. Even Scott Wolf has been interesting in his supporting role the past two seasons. I love this show!

Remember my plan to just take it easy, write, and relax? Whatever happened to that plan? I wrote nothing, spent most of the morning on the phone, spent most of the afternoon at Vinnie's doing the final fixes on Kevin's CD, and have to go out around seven to the music prep lady's house to work on her final chart, as she can't do it tomorrow. So, tomorrow I shall do NOTHING except write, relax, watch DVDs, and take a box of Rewind books to the store where I'll be signing next week.
