What show is going to be in 3D?  I know it's been MENTIONED a lot, but I forget?  And is it only in HD 3-D or will we peasants get to see it in 3-D as well.  And is Jane Russell going to be in it?

NBC's "Medium" -- next week's episode, I believe, rather than this week's.

Hmmm...the imagery is quite vivid.

We used to put down newspapers for our dog when he was a puppy.

And my dad always read the newspaper on the can.

There are some things about the new TV GUIDE I like, but the large magazine size is NOT one of them. I always liked the compact digest-size that could easy sit on an end table in ready reach.

Thanks to DRRonPulliam, I have non-Technirama photos of Mario Frangoulis, who - by the way - is looking at New York real estate this week.

When I was reading all that stuff last night about the new OKLAHOMA, the new SOUND OF MUSIC also came in for discussion.

Just to make sure, I put it in after DIE HARD finished this afternoon and watched from "Sixteen Going on Seventeen" onward. I'm sorry, but I see nothing wrong with this 5-Star Special Edition (the previous deluxe edition before the current one). I kept reading how people thought there was too much edge enhancement, etc. Well, maybe if I had a 100" screen, I might notice some of the stuff folks are talking about, but on my 52" screen sitting 12 feet back from it, it looked superb to me.

I kept reading how awful the color was for "Sixteen Going on Seventeen." Well, it's filmed in shadows, do perhaps the faces are a bit "subtanned" looking compared to the way the folks look elsewhere, but it didn't bother me a bit. In low lighting, often people's faces look different on film AND in real life.

I'm sure MEDIUM will be 3-D for regular TV as well as HDTV (In fact, HDTV  mnight not even be 3-D). Since the majority of the country has not switched over, it would be insane for NBC to broadcast the show in a way the majority couldn't enjoy, especially since they're going to be giving it a major PR push during the next week.

DR Larry is welcome!

DR JRand55 is also welcome, although his not watching "Medium" is perplexing since Patricia Arquette should appeal to him greatly!

As for the woman on the bottom left of the anniversary issue of TV Guide (which I won't reproduce here), could it be Fran Allison?

Two TV announcements of note:

1. As someone else mentioned, the Martha Stewart-APPRENTICE has been canceled and will not do another season after the finale in December.

2. The WB has ordered a prime-time series centering on DC Comics superhero Aquaman that will be character-driven, à la Smallville.

Can't say that either announcement surprised me AT ALL. Thrilled about AQUAMAN.

Word is, DR MATTH - that the actor who played Aquaman MAY NOT be playing the part in the series.  He is competing with other actors for role.

Seems to be more in the singer-variety-comedy vein, DR RLP.  I am not sure than Fran ever wore bare shoulders for all the kids to see!

MBarnum you worked at the Mark Antony!  Where was your apartment?

For the life of me I cannot remember the name of the street the apartments were on...but it was within close walking distance to the hotel....and yep, I worked at the Mark Antony, when it was still called The Mark Antony.
