Elmore, I’m glad you are somewhat recovered, continued feel good vibes.

Thank you, Nursie!  The chills and trembling seem to be over, although my abdomen still feels like someone wearing cleats walked over it.  No more nausea, either.

Ron, yes!!  DS Betsy makes the most incredible chard dish with some kind of seared almond butter and toasted almonds.  When she gets home, I'll post it.  It's unbelievably tasty.

Now THAT's what I'm talking about...!

Ron if you had blood drawn today does that mean all the results will be back to your doctor by tomorrow?  If so that is nice and quick.

They said it would be ready.  I went last week on Tuesday, but my doctor had failed to enter his requirements in their computer and he was on vacation until this morning.

I thought I'd need to reschedule tomorrow's appointment but they said to come in today...that it takes only an hour or so to run the tests.

My thinking is...they send most blood out to a lab, but can conduct in-clinic testing when they have to.

It is NOT a slow news day. The site was clogged and unable to be connected to for at least thirty minutes. I tried and tried with no success; this was around 12:15 my time.

I was thrown out a couple of times today with the message "too many connections"

When I got in from the late lunch (we also stopped at the post office so we could get new stamps), I put in MAN OF LA MANCHA.

This DVD has been sitting on my shelf for probably two years without being played, so it was exciting to see it looking so good. Previous video transfers were muddy and very dull. Some of that is still present, but the enhanced for widescreen TV picture is the best I've ever seen the movie look. The repurposed Dolby 5.1 sound is still kind of hollow; it was never a boomed, deliriously expansive soundtrack, and it isn't now, but the sound is clean if a bit thin.

The movie, of course, is a mess, but as this is probably the only film version we'll ever get, it's better than nothing. I only got about an hour in before I had to turn it off to come upstairs to log onto the internet.

1.  No.  This is to determine whether a new medication I was given for something unrelated has been effective or not.

2.  I will be bringing up the incident from last week, however.  One never knows whether the medication might have a side effect that could have led to the incident of last week.

3.  I cleaned the loose plaster off the ceiling where it was separating.  I found some mold.  This was in an area about 2 inches by 4 inches.   I treated it with Lysol for Mold & Mildew and it's clean now.  I will, of course, monitor it from now on.  I will bring this problem up to the HOA in our next meeting for recommendations from them on how they've handled past cases.  There was another area in my bedroom ceiling where the textured plaster had formed bubbles.  I removed that, too, but the sheetrock underneath was clean.

4.  Thanks for asking.

Most network shows are airing new episodes tonight to counteract the ABC premieres of EMILY'S REASONS WHY NOT, JAKE IN PROGRESS, and THE BACHELOR. I will probably watch EMILY, but I'll stick to HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, OUT OF PRACTICE, MEDIUM, and CSI: MIAMI for the rest of the evening.

Fox is rerunning two HOUSE episodes since '24' doesn't begin until next Sunday, and then it returns to its usual Monday night slot after its four hour premiere spread over Sunday and Monday.

It is still simply beautiful outside, and the moderate temperatures are set to continue for the rest of the week if the five day forecast is to be believed.

I really wish it would stay cold if it's going to get cold this winter, but I must say the reduced heating bills are much to my liking!

I'll check VARIETY in a second to see if there is a LESTAT review there.

There was no LESTAT review on the VARIETY website yet. I'll keep looking over the next few days.

How very odd it seems that no reviews of "Lestat" have appeared anywhere today when last night's show was it's official opening.

Oh, well.

Bad Album Cover:

If you look at this picture long enough, doesn't she kind of start to look like Patti LuPone as one half of the SNL middle aged singing couple? (played by Will Ferrell and Ana Gastayer)

Dan

We watched the Hard Nut Friday night!  Thanks!  It was a lot of fun.

Is everyone talking about the Hard Nut by the Mark Morris dance group?  I saw this once or twice in Berkeley (they would perform every holiday season) and loved it.  So much in fact that I took Rodzinski to see it a few years ago when they performed at BAM.

Can we say SENILE?  I had a rehearsal with Linda Purl today - forgot to write it in my iCal, but had printed it out and then didn't see it.  Thankfully, she called and I ran over and we were fine.  I now know I must write everything in my iCal if I am to survive as a normal human being.
