And now I think I will climb into bed. Too many margaritas last night! :)  Oh yes and then something called an irish car bomb.  So politically incorrect, but so yummy.

I did laundry all day yesterday.  Now I must empty the clean dishes from the diswasher so I can refill it with dirty ones.

I will return.

Jane, your life is as exciting as mine.

Real excitement is trying to figure out where everything goes in our new kitchen.  Keith organized it and even he doesn’t always remember.

We still don’t know all the details of working the oven.  We had a long discussion tonight trying to decide if the electric oven door should be open or closed while broiling.  The puzzle was solved when the oven wouldn’t stay on broil if the door was left open. ;D

Dakota-what is Celt for?

Beginning with Tom Baker we watched DOCTOR WHO when our boys were young.  It was our oldest, who was five at the time that began watching the show.  His younger brother and I would get scared and leave the room.  We stopped watching it years ago.

Dakota: where I am from
Celt: I love all things Irish and Celtic especially music, art, theatre and movies....

Loved Tom Baker and Peter Davison. I also liked Peter on All Creatures Great and Small and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

TPunk what is in an irish car bomb?

I wonder if it is similar to what we call a black and tan here.

We loved ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL.  There was an earlier movie with a different cast, including Anthony Hopkins as Siegfried.  Unfortunately it isn’t on DVD yet.

So you aren't Irish, just have a passion for things Irish?

Since TPunk has left for the evening I looked up Irish Car Bomb.  Is this anything like a black and tan?

1/2 pint Guinness
1 oz Jamison
1/2 oz Bailey's Irish cream

Pour Guiness into a pint glass. Float Baileys on top of Jamison in shot glass. Drop shot glass, carefully, into Guiness. Drink quickly before it curdles.

Yes very similar....

We have a coffee drink up here that is fun to make in the winter....

It called a Canadian Snowball....

In a large coffee mug, place a scoop of ice cream..
add black coffee
mint or peppermint flavoring
whipped cream
drizzle with chocolate syrup or chocolate shavings

YOu can add a bit of windsor whiskey if you want...

THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK
ODDS AGAINST TOMORROW
HATFUL OF RAIN

A PLACE IN THE SUN
WILD IN THE STREETS
WHAT'S THE MATTER WITH ALICE?

Oops, forgot to log out before settling in to watch tonight's figure skating.  Did it seem to anyone else that the single skaters, men and women alike, were flailing their arms around a lot more than usual?  What's that about?

I must admit Sasha Cohen has never been my favorite, but she was quite exquisite tonight.

My favorite Shelley Winters' films are THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK, A PLACE IN THE SUN, A PATCH OF BLUE, and, supremely THE NIGHT OF THE HUNTER.

That shot of her underwater remains one of the most surreally haunting shots in cinema history.
