I hate technology.  :)

And , it seems, technology is returning the favor!

Perhaps you could form a local chapter of neo-Luddites.

Re: this week's episode of VERONICA MARS.

.
.
.

I didn't watch the beginning of the episode where they showed clips from past shows.  So I just watched it and now know who the blonde in the car is (Celeste Cain's housekeeper (or whatever's) daughter who veronica at one time thought was celeste's daughter.

I love this show because they require the viewer to think so much.  In fact there was one very important detail that I totally missed on this show.  I could not figure out why Veronica had her ATM used so the sheriff could go to mexico (so close to where duncan was). She is so thorough and that just didn't make sense to me.

I didn't realize that the waterbottles in the trunk meant that duncan had hidden there. And since the sheriff went right through the border crossing ... well that all makes sense now. I'm surprised i didn't pick up on this point!

LOL

Funny thing, in the class I was taking on guy did a paper on porn... I did soaps, one gal did comedies. Other topics covered included theatre, movies, magazines, fashion, gameshows, etc

Needless to say... Watching the person present on the 80s fashions was rather painful. She actually dressed the part as a Valley Gril.... Like fer sure!!

I drove by the new house last night...it was the first time I've seen the view at night. It's on a hill so there are lots of lights from Sioux City. It really is quite lovely.

"James Hold The Ladder Steady" - one of so many great pop songs written by John D Loudermilk.

I read lots of entertainment news, but did not hear anything about this.  And did not even know it was someone closest to Clark till you just wrote it.

I know there are not that many of us that watch SMALLVILLE here. But I never watch it till sunday.  So just leave a bit of space if you can.  Especially if you're going to say something major.

A gentle reminder: In previous episodes, Jor-El told Clark that someone close to him would die...that it would be the balance of accounts for Clark's having been resuscitated from death some episodes back.

Jor-El was not kidding!

When we got to the movie, TRISTAN AND ISOLDE was sold out, so we went to see Terrence Malick's THE NEW WORLD.  Charlotte was puzzled by its nonlinear structure and liesurely pace but I think she enjoyed it.  I found it quite beautiful and moving with gorgeous images and wonderful sequences.  I wasn't crazy about James Horner's score, which wasn't as irritating as Phillip Glass but not much better.  I don't think I've seen Colin Farrell in a film before, and I thought he was quite wonderful, but so were Christian Bale and the young actress whose name I cannot begin to spell.  Beautiful costumes and design, too.

I also want to see that movie also... I hear it is quite good and in some way very respective of the native Americans...
