Good Afternoon!
Well... I got my run in... Eventually...
I drove over to the University of Richmond campus so that I could run - and time - some laps on their very nice track. Alas, since the Women's Soccer team was practicing, the track was off limits. Ah, well...
So, I headed over to Byrd Park to run their Vita Course - it's a nice mile loop. As I was driving there, I decided not to make a pit stop in order to "relieve myself". Well, by the time I got to the Vita Course, I really had to "go", so I headed over to the public restrooms... Which were locked up for the winter... So... I headed back to my car and drove to Carytown to use the bathrooms in Ukrop's. Then on the way back to park, I got caught behind a pothole repair truck. I cut through an alley to get around it, but, of course, by the time I made it to the next intersection, there was the pothole repair truck and crew. Well...
Once I made it back to Byrd Park, I ran one warm up lap - one mile - then did some stretching. Then I ran three more miles. And according to my handy-dandy chronograph watch, I'm now running a 9:00 mile - down from my usual 10:00.

I really would like to get back to a standard track to take a more accurate measurement, as well as to run on a level playing field - literally. I do like the track in the park, but there's one hill right before the 1/2 mile point, and the final 300 yards are also on an incline. But, still, four miles today... Not bad at all if I do say so myself.
