Danise, so glad the pre-op went well. You most likely will have dietary restrictions following the surgery. You might ask ahead. I don’t know why doctors wait until you go leave the hospital to tell you about them, like you can stop at the market on your way home.

After walking up and down Eighth Avenue for a couple of minutes... -Oh, I have to go to Staples... -Oh, I meant to meet DR Jason.. -Oh...

Well, as I was walking by the Marquis, I remembered it was matinee day, and the show was about to get out soon. Good - I could catch my friends, Jeff and Sean, at the stage door. Jeff is the bass player for the show, and Sean is one of the swing, and since everyone has been getting sick - at least according to the press release - I figured he was on today.

Well, I never saw Jeff leave, but I did manage to catch Sean. And we ended up having a nice reunion - we hadn't seen each other in a year or so. I was also the MD for Violet when Sean played Monty - and it was his first professional gig out of college.

And to bring the whole "thing" to full circle, it turns out that he was just hired to be the new swing for Lestat! We both screamed when we shared our news with each other. -And, I guess I just missed him the past two days when I stopped by rehearsals. We ended up going to Joshua Tree for a very yummy dinner and more catching up and dishing.

-And we both ran into more people we hadn't seen in a while while we were eating.

It's a small world...

It's going to be repeats for the rest of sweeps month. The show was doing simply terrible with the weak lead-in it has now, so UPN decided to hold new episodes until it can have THE NEXT TOP MODEL as a lead-in (it returns in March). In the fall with that as a lead-in, VERONICA scored its highest ratings ever.

First up was AMERICAN IDOL. Not enough clips of people singing, and of the clips they did show, I thought that was a ridiculous amount of wailing and wretchedly done malisma all over the place.

That said, I couldn't argue with the people who were sent through. Can't wait until next week when we get to hear each of them sing a REAL song all the way through.

INVASION has become just as tense and unpredictable as LOST. I'm going to miss the show when it wraps up next month. I fear it's the last we'll see of it.

Here is a BK question for the day which the East Coasters might have to wait until tomorrow to answer (because I was too darned late in thinking one up):

What movie genre is your least favorite.

And although it is your least favorite genre, what two films from that genre do you still find that you enjoy very much.

My least favorite genre would likely be war films. However, two of my favorite films are war films...or more like anti-war films I guess...the 1930 version of ALL QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT and the Jeffrey Hunter film HELL TO ETERNITY.

"War Films" for me too DR Michael with Westerns as a close second.

I do like "King and County" and "Oh What a Lovely War".

Of westerns I still like "Butch Cassidy", "Cat Ballou" and "Shane".

I did not like Westerns on TV either. (I used to watch "Wagon Train" (Not for Ward Bond).
I loathed "Rifleman" and "Bonanza"

One of my favourite TV shows set in Wartime was "The Secret Army". It was the show that gave birth to "Hello Hello".

I don't really know that I have a least favorite genre, although I don't love war films either - that said, Paths of Glory, Patton, several Sam Fuller movies, and about forty others are films I love so there you are.

Saw a film with some folks tonight at Film Forum. Carol Reed's THE FALLEN IDOL. Unbelievable movie. Fantastic.
